Buffy the Vampire Slayer Article: True Blood vs Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Hey fans, I have been thinking a lot about this ever I watched "True Blood" a show that is based on Charlene Harris book series of Sookie Stackhouse. The show does in fact have very common things towards Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

From both series do envolve vampires, vampire couples,staking vampires, and other supernatural things. Also Buffy the Vampire Slayer does have vampires with souls but not in True Blood. And True Blood talks about Vampires that are known out in the world. Like everyone knows about vampires that do exist.

Relationships on True Blood

In the show has two things are very close to Buffy the Vampire Slayer's relationship as goes for vampire/human couples.LIKE":

Sookie Stackhouse the main character on True Blood meets her first vampire in Bon Temps, Lousiana. Name Bill Compton a hundred year old vampire. Sookie is telepath who finds something interesting when meeting a vampire like Bill like she can't read there minds.(Similiar to Buffy in Season 3 Earshot Buffy couldn't read Angel's mind from being attack a demon). Also the relationship with Sookie & Bill are similiar to Buffy & Angel like envolves with passion, first love, and dependable. Then also what I read in television reviews that Buffy & Angel's relationship relates to Sookie & Bill's.

Another fact is that last Sunday night on all new episode of True Blood is that Sookie's relationship with Eric Northman a viking vampire, is that there are connections to love. In the show Sookie hates Eric, but he does seem to hate her but has a affection for Sookie. Close to Buffy & Spike's relationship that they both, have, heat, desire, passion, love/hate, and trust.Both chemistries of Buffy's relationship with Spike is completely close to Sookie & Eric.

On the epsiode showed that there was an explosion and Eric was trying to save Sookie from the explosion of Silver chains. Eric was badly wound and Sookie had no choice but save him. After from sucking Eric's blood. Bill came him and saw Sookie sucking Eric's blood. Knowing that vampires do heal fast. Sookie was disgusted from the information that Bill gave her that she will have sexual attractions towards to Eric. Bill was not happy that Sookie is now connected to Eric too.

See what I meant that both shows have similairites that Buffy the Vampire Slayer has on their show.

tinkymel While there are similarities in the couple types of the main characters on the show, there are way more differences then this. If you watch the show and read the books you will notice that while there are these similarities there are also a lot more differences. First and foremost Buffy would never let people die, while at times Sookie will rationalize why it is ok that a human is killed. Also, on True Blood vampires are now capable of surviving on synthetic blood, while on Buffy vampires that don't use humans feed on animals. Lastly Buffy is supernaturally strong and fights the evils of the world, while Sookie is just trying to survive and find her place in it. I could go on and on, but I think I have rambled enough. I am a fan of both of these shows, and Read the Books that True Blood is based on. I like that you took the time to write this great article though.

From BANGEL to SPUFFY

As some of you may have noticed, I always support Bangel instead of Spuffy.I mean I thought that Angel was the best lover for Buffy and not Spike.I watched all the BTVS episodes hundreds of times and nothing could make me change my mind.Until one week ago.

4 things that would have made the finale better

I love th episode 'Chosen' but here are 4 things I think would've made it even better.

1. An explanation for the fact that the turok-han were so much weaker. In their first appearance one nearly beat Buffy to death, but then Xander and Dawn can take them on? I've heard fan explanations, some saying Buffy just wasn't prepared and was emotionally fragile at first, but she's a slayer, that wouldn't take her to Xander's physical level. Some saying Spike's amulet thing weakened them, or that the First made the original one stronger like he did with Caleb (I tend to lean towards that) But a second...

Relationship of Buffy & Spike Inside Look!

I've been seeing something different about the two characters. Buffy a slayer who is off track with her slayage and Spike a vampire with a government chip in his head and fallen in love with Buffy.

SEASON 6

Buffy and Spike's relationship in this season was about understanding,compassion,denial,feelings developing so quickly and rape. Buffy who was brought back to life by her own friends being ripped out of "Heaven" crawling out her grave. Feeling very shacky,and disoritented from crawling a grave. Buffy and how its remembered.

Since its begining I have been a dedicated Buffy fan. Since the first fight in the Bronze, to the school blowing up, to the showtunes of Once more with Felling and to Sunnydale becoming nothing more then a giant crater.
This is how i remember a show that changed the the face of television however lately ive been wandering throuh fanpop and several other sites and Ive found something that bothers me.What I remember this show for its riviting storylines, in-depth characters and excellent plot twists but from the what ive seen lately this show might as well have been only about its couples.

Why A Soul Does Not Equal Emotions

Alright, well, this soapbox isn't very good, cause it got written in a hurry, but it's basically my thoughts on souls in the Buffyverse.

“We can love you know. Quite well, if not wisely.”

So said by Drusilla to Buffy in Crush. Those words break down everything the council ever taught Buffy, that demons couldn’t love. The soul vs. soulless theory is that a demon can’t feel emotions, but, if that is true, than how could he feel hate? Anger, greed, lust. Those are all emotions. So is love.

Hottie Test: An Analysis of Oz's Body

In my opinion, Oz is one of the most adorable boys on the show. Not only is he incredibly sweet with his charming and calming voice, not to mention his guitar playing skills, but he really is just adorable.

1. Oz's face is a unique and quite a pretty one. Long and skinny, with the best hair, next to Spike. Oz's hair color changes frequently. One day it's brown, next day it's black, then it's blonde, now it's bright orange. I think his best color was orange. Not only did it just seem to match his personality better, it matched with Willow. His rare smile is like everything else about him, adorable....
