Before I saw "Chuck Vs the Ring" I was reminded of a line I once did in "The Music Man" about the excitement of anticipation one feels because I had it a plenty. And truth is I was not disappointed in anyway, except the possibility we will never see Morgan, Anna, Lester and Jeff along with the rest of the Buy More Regulars like Skip Johnson, Big Mike, even Emmett, now that Chuck quit. These people were the comic relief in the show.
I also have to repeat how pleasantly surprised I was at with the performance Jeffster put on. Who'd have thunked it. Certainly not me after the off pitch job the did before. And since this is as much a review as it is my opinion and because they after all the same thing really. I have to comment of the outstanding job done by Chevy Chase as a bad guy. What a performance he turned in, and unexpected as well.
I didn't like Bryce being killed because he turned out be a nice good guy after being portrayed as a bad one early one. And in the end he did tell Chuck Sarah wasn't going to leave with him made it that much sadder when he died. I had posted a very long time ago that Chuck should have been compensated for all he did and I sure wish they would have shown how much was in his pay packet, and if after pulling out all the stops for the wedding and reception it would have been nice to find he still had something left over.
I thought is funny that at the end Sarah and Casey were in so much shock over Chucks sudden prowess as a kick ass kung fu master in no easy lessons they just stood there in awe not moving to help as they always had in the past.
Now the question becomes where do they go from here? The intersect is no more, they all know who Orion is, Fulcrum wants Chuck dead because as far as they know he is a super spy. and of course now that we have some many talents to discover that were added to the intersect there is a lot of possibilities there.
I think that something will come up to prevent Morgan from actually going to Hawaii. And I would like to see Big Mike slacker tho he is get his job back. There is also the need for a new cover job for Chuck. We know the Castle is still operational but unless Chuck goes back to Buy More there is no reason to have Sarah operate from it. Then there's also the not just an asset aspect to resolve. Chuck told Sarah he wants her in his life and that was when she was still going with Bryce. After he said it she changed her mind. So Are they going to be a real couple now or go back to the lame cover story.
I still have these nagging questions about how they get away with all the bodies that stack up, and not just the bad guys now that Roarke and company wiped out a whole catering staff of innocent people. That has to be what 5 or 6 guys? I know that they shot and it is presumable they killed 9 and took out by other means 3 more in Chuck Vs the First Kill. All in all there must be about 50 all together.
So many possibilities and way too much time to ponder the future. I may have to write my own story like I did on the Psych Fanpop Forum just to keep busy now that I know there is actually a place for Fan Fiction. I just wonder if anyone ever comes here? Hmmm!
