A/N- hey guys its been a very long time i have posted i know i never even started the birthday but i have a new fic that i will finish i promise i will keep this fanfic going i will be dedicated to do it i promise so here goes.
Summary- (post episode '1912' season 3 episode 16 from there i will go AU and make it up along the way) basically elena has had enough of all this supernatural stuff, damon is not her friend anymore, stefan is not the same and the origanals are staying in mystic falls as local residence's, so elena starts a new life in new york but even though she is away from the supernatural life, she will always be the dopelganger.

Elena Gilbert had, had enough she did not want to live this life anymore she hated it, everytime she was outside she always had a fear that she will be killed by something or someone, she had already lost enough, she lost her parents,jenna, jeremy and even alaric was missing she felt empty, damon wasn't even speaking to her, stefan was not himself and to top that all the origanals have moved into mystic falls, she was not going to live her life in fear anymore, she had, had enough.

Elena went to the grill when she went there she saw damon, day-drinking as usual he was with a blonde at first she thought it was caroline but she looked closely again it wasn't caroline it was rebekah, damon was hanging out with her after she tried to kill her twice this week and next to her was stefan, so much for a good day, she looked around the grill and saw two other vampires it was klaus and his brother kol, she had to get out of here this place was now a vampire hang out, she had to go, she went outside got her cellphone out of her purse and dialed bonnies number, she was the only person she could talk to and trust.
"Hello Bonnie call me back its important" Elena said.
as it went to voice mail
"Well well well" the velvety voice behind her spoke.
"what do you want damon?" elena turned around to face him, she stared at his ocean blues eyes, those same eyes that haunted her in her dreams till this day, but also those eyes and that smirk she also missed.
he finally replied "what important stuff do you need to talk to bonnie about?" his voice was fulled with sarcasm.
"oh so now you speak to me and want to know what stuff i have to talk to with bonnie, because i thought you dont care about anything i do or say," elena said on the edge of tears but kept them in.
"i dont, but you can get yourself killed with your suicidal tendacies we know how much there have been of those" damon smirked.
"look if your going to insult me go ahead, but just remember it will be the last thing you say to me" elena answered.
"Are you threatning me? bad move elena threatning a vampire," damon was taken back from her words.
"oh right because your a big bad vampire now, just because i hurt you, wow damon you know what i thought you were better than that, i never meant to say those things to you, i never meant to say those things to you ok, im just 18 years old i dont know what love is, im just barely getting through my life, i cant take it anymore, so yes damon you wont need to worry about my sucidal acts or anything," elena started crying.
damon just stared at her loss for words, he was confused he held her arm "what do you mean elena," his expression softened.
"im.. leaving damon," elena finally said as she stopped crying and sobered up.
"WHAT!!, what do you mean your leaving" damon was furious.
"im leaving mystics falls for good, look damon im sorry for hurting you, but i have to move on away from all of this supernatural doom and gloom," elena said.
"really elena and were are you going to go?" damon said he held no emotion on his face.
"anywhere it doesnt matter where i go, as long i leave mystic falls." elena said
"elena, are you insane?" damon yelled.
"please dont make this harder for me, i need to do this." elena replied.
"ok but just remember one thing, i will find you," he said and left leaving elena gobsmacked.
