Kida smiles at the legendary book. She and Proteus knew that if anything happened, it would be their responsibility. Kida did not want to take that scarce risk. Suddenly, Proteus and Kida hear a loud grunt from outside of the room. They run out and see that one of crew's men had been attacked! Turns out, there were other men invading the Syracuse ship! "What are we going to do Proteus?!" Kida asks. Proteus quickly grabs the sword on his back and wields it as he runs towards the invaders. He was ready to fight. The look on Kida's face was saying: What about me? She didn't know it but one of the attackers grabs her from behind. "HYAH!" Kida screams as she kicks the tall blond woman in the groin. She screeches in pain. Kida quickly runs out to the deck and climbs onto the mast of the ship. She spins around in a circle as her leg is out kicking the men under her. Kida lands on the ground in a fighting stance. "Come 'ere you!" An attacker yells from behind. Kida quickly turns around roundhouse kicks the man in the face. Many more come from everywhere with swords in their hands. Proteus is busy fighting a man who has a sword as well. Angry faced, the attacker lunges and slashes the Prince's arm. He just ignores it as he is still fighting. Two men wield their swords provoking Kida into fighting them. They lunge for her chest. "Two against one," she starts as she dodges both attacks. "That hardly seems fair!" Kida kicks both swords out of the Vikings' hands and catches them. The two invaders retreat and so do their crew. Kida backs up and so does Proteus. They didn't know it, but they had bumped into each other. Proteus turns around. "Hm. I didn't know you could fight. Let alone defend yourself." The Atlantian princess shrugs. "That's what you do as a princess in Atlantis. We're not your usual royal family."

Kida notices the injury that Proteus has and she asks him to sit down. "How are you...going to heal...my..." Proteus is losing a lot of blood since this wasn't your usual paper cut. He is almost close to losing consciencness. "Shhhh..." Kida shushes him to calm him down. "Don't worry...you'll be alright." Kida lays her left hand on Proteus' chin. She then holds onto the crystal on her necklace and it starts glowing a bright blue light. Proteus gapes. He had never known that Kida could do that with her crystal. Kida puts her hand on Proteus' wound and it immediately heals. The prince gasps. "How did you do that?" "Magic." Kida teases. Proteus knew that having Kida on the ship wasn't a mistake.
