Chapter 15: Sacrifice

It had been a few days since Ariel had left John couldn't believe how he had left things between them she must have had a reason why she didn't tell him either way he shouldn't have said the things he did he realized that now all he wanted was her to back with him he wouldn't let anything become between them ever again safe in his arms and he wondered if she was missing him as much as he was missing her. And she was she couldn't stop thinking about him ever since she had come home she locked herself in her room from sunset to sunrise she didn't want anything to do with her father he had taken her away when she was so happy happier than she had been since Eric she would give anything to be with John again.
Then she remembered that she had heard rumors that Ursula had a younger sister named Morgana she lived in a cave in the deepest, darkest, and iciest part of the ocean and was a witch just like her sister she could to all sorts of magic and spells but nothing came for free it everything had its price but Ariel didn't care she had to see Morgana it was her only chance to be with John again.

Late that night when everyone in the palace was asleep Ariel snuck out from her bedroom opening and swam and headed to the icy parts of the ocean looking for an underwater opening in the ice where someone could be living in a secret hideout.It took Ariel most of the night but she finally found it she was relieved but then again she was frightened memories came back from when she had gone to Ursula's lair but she couldn't let her fear get stop her she had to keep going. She swam inside quietly everything was made almost completely out of ice except for a large chair that was in the center of the room she was looking around when she heard a voice "Ah Ariel come in I've been expecting you, now then your here because of this human a captain am I right?", "Yes are you?" "Morgana yes I personally would like to thank you for killing my sister mother always preferred her over me", "Your welcome I suppose."
Ariel was shocked she looked nothing like Ursula she was much skinner, and green the only thing they had in common was the white updo hairstyle "How did you know I..", "Ariel dear I'm a witch I know everything that happens in the seven seas and I know your missing your captain", "Yes I am", "Oh you poor dear" she wrapped her arm around Ariel "I know it hurts be taken away from someone you care about someone you love oh you know he's misses you as much as you miss him", "Yes of course here let me show you follow me."

She lead Ariel over to her caldron it looked similar to Ursula's but was made of shells beside her she had two red eyed sting rays and one very small purple and black stripped shark it they must be her pets like Ursula and her eels Morgana could tell that they were making her uncomfortable "Oh don't mind them my dear they won't harm you now let's see aww here we are does he look familiar?" Ariel looked at the smoke she saw John it was as if he was right there in front of her he looked so sad with his face in his hands she wished that she was there to comfort him.
"It's so sad that your father had to get in the way of things he took you away from the man you cared about maybe even love oh but there is no need to be sad dear I can fix this", "You can?", "But of course I live to help the less fortunate", "But so did Ursula and she ended up tricking she only used me to get to my father", "Well that is my sister for you she was always a user but I assure you I would never do something like that", "How can I trust you?", "That's entirely up to you but you don't you might as well leave I was going to turn you into a human so you could with your captain but oh well", "NO WAIT!" Ariel cried "Please I'll do anything", "Alright now here's the deal before the sun sets on the third day you need to get old captain to fall in love you this means he has to kiss you but not just any kiss the kiss of true love sound familiar?", "Yes its the same day I made with Ursula", "Very good you have quite the memory however I'm going to make a slight change I will give you one extra day so that means you have four instead of three if he does kiss you before the sunsets on the fourth day you'll remain human permanently but if he doesn't you turn back into a mermaid and belong to me have we got a deal?", "Only if you promise to not take over my father's throne", "That sounds fair enough oh and there is one more thing we need to discuss payment nothing is for free you know"
"But I don't have any.." Morgana placed her tentacle over Ariel's mouth "On the contrary I believe you do I hear that your voice is the most beautiful in all the seven seas that could be worth something", "My voice but that's what I sold to Ursula to become human before", "Oh that's right well than in that case I might as well just brake you from the deal", "NO PLEASE! I'll do it", "Well then let's get to it sweetcakes you know this captain must be really important to you if your willing to give your voice a second time well not matter a deal's a deal and to since I'm feeling rather generous today I'll transport you miles from the beach and throw in a sail to make as a dress sound fair?" Ariel nodded.

"Now just to make things legal and binding I'll need you to sign" a magical scroll appeared in front of Ariel she didn't hesitate she grabbed the skeleton pen and signed it flew over to Morgana she smiled evilly "Now to the fun haha Beluga sevruga come winds of the Caspian Sea Larengix glaucitis Et max laryngitis La voce to me now sing!." Ariel sang with all her heart until she could no longer as she watched her voice being carried by hands made of smoke and placed inside Morgana then a bubble formed around her there was a sharp pain a her tail began to seperate and transform into legs completely naked except she still had her bra made of seashells and seaweed in a matter of seconds she had gone to being in Morgana's lair to being in warm waters she quickly swam up to the surface gasping for air as the sun began to rise.
