This isn't a review of Steven Moffat's writing, this is just an opinion/conclusion/observation I've come to. You can agree or disagree with me on this and I'd love to hear both sides. I believe Steven Moffat is trying to completely move away from Russell T. Davies' Doctor Who series. He changed the look of the TARDIS and the sonic screwdriver. If you think about it, only 2 enemies from the previous seasons were mentioned again in Season 5, the Daleks and the weeping angels. The Daleks are a classic Doctor Who enemy, while the weeping angels were something Steven Moffat created himself. He wrote Blink. Also none of the previous adventures or companions have been mentioned. While in RTD's seasons, The Doctor pined away for Rose, long after she was gone, in Season 5, Rose wasn't even mentioned. Infact the only person who showed up in Season 5 that was from a previous season, was River Song who showed up in that Silence in the Library episode in Season 4. But that episode too was written by Steven Moffat. Point is, Steven Moffat is trying to get away from the "image" created by Russel T. Davies.

I apologize for any grammar or spelling errors and I'd love to hear your opinions. Thank-you.
