Duncan adore imperfection. Courtney was imperfection.

Courtney opened her eyes to a deserted hallway, and than sighed in relief. She looked at Ms. Pinkins who only looked at astonished as her. "Wow, 4th period already."She said, more to herself than to Courtney.

Before Courtney or Ms. Pinkins could take a single step, they both were stopped by a rustling sound, and a pair of voices talking. One voice sounded threatening, and intimidating, the other one sounded weak, and frighten.

Both voiced were owned by two boys. One boy who was pinned up against a lockers, he wore giant over-sized glasses that nearly covered his entire face, and had shaggy red hair. The pinning him, he had clean black hair of which a Mohawk laid upon. The boy also had a variety amount of piercings, a dog collar, skull shirt, wore bright red high-tops. The boy that I described the most was the bully.

Courtney watched the punk pummel the poor red head against the lockers, repeat his death threats to him. "And if you ever trip me again, you'll be running to your mommy with only one leg. Got it!" The red head shook his head willing, which caused the punk to release his grip on the boy's shirt. Once the the red head was let go, he stammered off, letting Duncan watch with approval.

"Mr. Coleman!" Angrily called Ms. Pinkins as she marched up to him with Courtney following behind.

The delinquent turned around and smiled smugly. "Sup' Miss P." He gestured, not taking notice of the girl who only stood a little behind her.

"Where should you be right now?" She fumed.

The boy shrugged carelessly. "I dunno Miss P. You tell me. "He said. The punk was about to continue with his back-talk, when he finally he notice Courtney who stood there unaware by anybody. Everything else suddenly disappeared. "Well, who might this be?"

Courtney was unaware that the punk was referring to her, she was busy watching a fly laid on the ceiling with ease. She always wondered how flies did that, without falling down. It fascinated her so much, and that it was ridiculous people didn't take more time to pay attention to the most dismissed.

Ms. Pinkins looked at the boy, than looked at Courtney. "Oh, Duncan, this is Courtney. She is new here. " Ms. Pinkins explained. She touched Courtney's shoulder causing Courtney to jerk her head forward. "Courtney, I will like you to meet Duncan Coleman."

Courtney looked at Duncan, and examined his appearance carefully. She was first disgusted by him then, but now that she was closer, his attire engrossed her completely. He was a total neanderthal. Looked like one, and dressed like one.

"Sup'?" He said popping the 'p' on the end. Duncan took his turn to take examination of her. She was a total prep. She wore a gray vest, with a folded-sleeve white undershirt, and army green Capri's.

Courtney stayed quite, avoiding his glance.

"A quite one." He said. He looked up at Ms. Pinkins and smiled his most innocent smile. "Why don't I show Courtney to her classes."

"What a great Idea Duncan." Courtney panicked, and shook her head at her. "It's okay Courtney. Duncan was here last year, so there's no need to worry."

That's not what I'm worrying about, fool! Was what Courtney wanted to say but instead she just stayed silent, than nodded reluctantly. Ms. Pinkins handed Duncan her schedule and quickly walked off into the hallways gloomy shadow.

Duncan looked at her schedule.

How predictable. He thought while walking who knows where, with Courtney following behind.

"So, um, what do I have first?" Courtney asked quietly.

Duncan looked back at her, and smirked. "So the princess finally speaks. It's a miracle!" Duncan jokily announced.

Courtney glared at him. "Can you just tell me my class, please? The sooner I'm away from you, the better." She coldly said.

Duncan smirked, than swung a arm around her shoulders. "Princess, you know like this." Duncan said pointing his thumb towards himself. "All there girls do, even girl like you."

Courtney pulled away from him, and growled. "What do you mean 'girls like me'?" She asked irradiated.

Duncan scratched his head, kinda regret his poor choice of words. "Well, ya' know. High strung girls like you."

Courtney gasped fuming. "High strung! You've only known me for a minute and half, and your already judging me." Courtney threw her hands up in the air. "Some guy you are."

Duncan smiled proudly. "I know right."

Courtney groaned loudly. "Can I please just have my schedule, so I can-"

BWACK!

"Courtney?" Duncan called, turning around, and finding a fallen-over Courtney.

She was griped her head cautiously, than looked up at Duncan who was standing over her. Courtney gasped scooting herself away from him. Duncan looked stumped from 2 reasons.

First, he looked at the wall Courtney must've ran into. How do you not miss a wall like that? He asked himself, slowly approaching Courtney.

Than, he wondered why Courtney was suddenly afraid to be near him.

Courtney looked at him. Her head was felt like had smacked her with club. She felt dizzy, and she didn't know where she was or how she got here.

"Courtney? What's wrong?" He concernedly asked.

Courtney looked back up at him, started to cry. "Stop."She said.

Okay, now things were totally getting confusing. He didn't know what to do. Five seconds ago she was fine, by once she hit the wall, she acted like she didn't know him, or forgot. Duncan didn't know what to do, so he just sat there, waiting for an explanation. "Princess, talk to me. You okay. I haven't even been with you more than 2 minutes, and your already acting crazy."

Courtney looked at him, and suddenly stopped crying, and regain her focus. She held her head, and moaned. "What happened?"

Duncan shrugged. "You tell me?"
