Duncan's pov

She sat there ready for the bad news. I couldn't bare to tell her so I made something up.

Duncan: I love you.

She smiled.

Courtney: I love you too.

She started kissing me again. We just resumed what we were doing before.

Courtneys pov

I almost made him tell me. There's gotta be a way I can make him crack. I got it! It'll take a while but I think I know how to break him. Meanwhile I was kinda enjoying this so I just un buttoned his shirt and " let him have it".

The next morning
Duncans pov

I woke up my hair was messy and lips kinda hurt from all that kissing. I glanced at the clock. 5:00am. OH GREAT IM LATE FOR WORK. I looked to the side were Courtney usually is. She wasn't there in fact she was in the bathroom putting on lip stick.

Duncan: are you going some where princess?

Courtney: yep I'm just going out

Duncan: out? Like on a date ? With out me?

Courtney: no honey Im just going to a friends house.

Duncan: a girl right?

Courtney : no it's a boy

Duncan: what friend and why are you going now? Has he touched you? caused if he did he's gay.

Courtney: no he has not touched me. relax honey he has a wife and his name is Adam.

Duncan: well sometimes people don't care if there married!

Courtney: REALLY AND HOW WOULD YOU KNOW!

Duncan: I JUST DO OK!

I said graving her arm I was kinda yelling to but I couldn't help it I didn't want lose her.
I guess when I grabed her arm it scared her cause She started crying.

Duncan: Im sorry honey I just get a little jealous. I shouldn't of yelled at you or grabed you like that.

After Jason hitting her I guess she was afraid I'd do it. I hugged her.

Duncan: you can go to Adams.ok?

Courtney: ok.

She kissed my cheek. Wow we survived the first of many fights a marriage can bring.
In a way I was relieved to hear she was going to Adams house cause I was going to see kate again later tonight.

Doctor: in the hospital. You barley made it luckily this guy pulled you out of that fire.
He pointed to Duncan.

Doctor: you had a couple 3rd degree burns but you'll be ok

Courtney: what about Duncan?

Doctor: he got a 1st degree burn on his arm. So he's um... Prone to cancer.

Courtney: oh I said tearing up.

Doctor: he'll be ok don't worry. We gave him a medication that helps pervent cancer. He's in a deep sleep right now.

Courtney: BUT HE'LL WAKE UP RIGHT?

I asked nervously.

Doctor: no doubt he'll wake up. I hope you don't mind me asking...
