This time he spoke before me. “Yesterday night, I needed gas so I stopped by her house, though uh I didn’t know it was her house.”

I smiled at that thought and then just had a quick flashback through all of yesterday and today, and then I realized something. “OH MY GOSH!”

Everybody looked at me. I got out of my seat and ran; all I could think about was running. I was out of the door and into the other building in a second.(I wasn’t really counting...) Once I finally got to my homeroom, it was locked. There was no teacher inside, nor a single human in the hallway. I ran to the classroom right beside it and was so freaking thankful that it was open. I rushed through and squealed when the door between the two classrooms was unlocked too. I opened the door and dropped on the floor. I saw it, and I grabbed so fiercely yet gently.

How the hell could I have forgotten it?? I just sat there and hugged it.

I could feel a couple tears strolling down my cheeks. Then I heard someone open the door. I jumped a little and realized who it was. Duncan.

Duncan’s point of view.

I followed her out and into the other building. Damn can she run!! When I got into the hallway, I hid from her. She went into the classroom beside our homeroom; I waited a couple of minutes and then followed her. I saw the door that connects the two classrooms open. I went toward it and saw Courtney sitting on the floor clutching a book tight with her hands. There were tears rolling down her face and she was biting her lip. I moved in a little closer and she kind of jumped when she saw me. I gave out my hand and she waited a minute or so. Then surprisingly, she took a hold of it! I pulled her up and fell in my chest. I hugged her. She let go and wiped away her tears. She started heading out the door.

“Wait a second!” I said. I grabbed her wrist and she stopped.

“What?” she replied looking a whole lot better.

I smirked and said “like I’m gonna let you get away with crying and not telling me why.”

She scoffed and said "whatever Duncan, I don’t care what you say but I was not crying."

I laughed and replied "uh huh....sure princess."

She had a blank look on her face and said “Princess? What—no-no-no-no-no-no! You are not giving me a nickname! I think Courtney is just absolutely perfect!”

I smirked and replied “yeah, for a tight-assed-pussy, but you know, I wasn’t really thinking of giving you a nickname but you know what? ‘Princess’ is just perfect!”

She looked pissed! Wow is she hooottt when she is mad! “You know, ‘Courtney’ is one of the prettiest names ive ever heard!!!!” She squeaked.

Well, I wasn’t just gonna leave her angry at me, “I know….I was just kidding!” I said raising my hands up just a slight.

She stood there for just about a minute, chuckled really quick and fast and started walking away. Then she stopped for a second and said “you coming?”

I smirked and said “umm im gonna hang back here for a while, I…-uh…. Have som homework to catch up on.

She looked a little confused and said “um okay, see you later.” Then she left.

I waited for her to leave the building, and how did I know if she left? Thank goodness for windows!

After she did, I made my way up to Civics, and got my ‘homework’ out. I went to her seat, sat down, and started writing in my damn book.

Dear Damn Book,
Soooo, well I just saw princess (yes my new name for Courtney) crying over some book I think. WAIT A SECOND! She changed the subject!!!! Okay so I asked her why she was crying and I still don’t know! Oh shit! She’s good….ha that’s funny “she’s good” as in I mean in both ways…..Okay nm. Well I got her to hug me….That’s a start right? Well its pretty close…So whatever! Hmmmmm. I Do not know if I like her or not. I mean I want too but then again she’ll be impossible to get. Hey, this is pretty new for, just like a challenge! YEAH! I am sooo gonna get her to like me…..(but just so you know, I'm only doing this because I just may lo-) NEVER MIND! I don’t know if I can trust you to keep a secret…..and I don’t wanna say that………..not yet. I’m just gonna think for a lil while.

Courtney’s Point of View.

Man, am I good……. “There you are!” “Hey Courtney!” “Where were you?” “Yeah we were looking for you!” Said Bridgette, Gwen, Geoff, and Trent. I felt kind of happy to have such caring friends.

“Oh I’m sorry, it was just uh nothing.” I said.

“Duncan went after you, did you see him?” asked Gwen.

“Yeah, He said he had to catch up on some homework.” I replied.

They all started laughing hysterically. “AHAHAHAHA Good one! Its just about impossible putting ‘Duncan’ and ‘homework’ in one sentence without using ‘doesn’t’!” said Trent.

I felt a little stupid, not knowing what they were talking about.


Bridgette was the first to stop laughing and said “Courtney, Duncan is a criminal. There is no way he would even dare do homework. I'm shocked he even showed up today.”

I finally understood and started laughing, sad thing is, nobody else was….

I quickly stopped and said “oh well then what do you think he went to do?”

“I don’t know, but I’ll tell you one thing. He likes you.” Geoff said.

I could feel my face getting hot and I knew I was blushing and I tried to hide it but clearly ‘hiding it’ just makes it more obvious.

“Aw! How sweet! Courtney’s got a crush on Duncan!” smirked Gwen.

“UGH! No I do not! He is the most idiotic, juvenile, creepy, stupid, criminal -headed Neanderthal ive ever met!” I practically yelled.

“Why thank-you princess!” said a voice from behind me. I quickly turned around and saw Duncan. I frowned.

“Neanderthal is a super hot hunk or like batman but handsome right?” he asked.

I laughed at his stupidity as the bell rang. “Mhhmmmm, sure” I said walking to civics with Bridgette and Gwen to get our stuff.

Wow 10 more minutes and then school is over. Man was it a long day…. I'm not sure what to do.

10 Minutes Later

“BRRRRRRIIIINNNNGGGG” goes the bell.

“Okay, I have to go to my locker and then walk home” I thought aloud as I got my stuff and headed out the door.

Once I got to my locker, I put on some quick cherry lip-gloss as I shoved books in my backpack closing the door. I went outside and groaned.

It was raining.

I started walking and for some reason, the more I walked the harder and wetter the rain seemed to get. Then a motorcycle appeared in front of me.
