"We are taking you to our camp." The white She-wolf yipped. Her tail made it hard for Flame to see where she was leading him. "We are..." She began as she quickly turned around a bush. Her eyes glittered expectantly at a tall bundle of bushes that lined the forest. She lifted her paw to climb in the bush, and her pelt in just seconds was swallowed up by the bushes. The green leaves rattled as the other wolf gestured for him and his pups to follow. Pawstep after paw step he fought through the thick brambles. His eyes burned as thorns jabbed his side. SUddenly a burst of light appeared. Quickly, he opened his red, swollen eyes. "Welcome..." The white she-wolf yipped. "To the tribe of Falling Stars." She proudly yipped. For the first time in moons, Flame finally felt a surge of joy and a sense of protection. Flame's eyes flicked from side to side as kits rumbled around in front of lowered bramble bushes. Wouldn't the thorns hurt them? Suddenly a loud howl sounded from above. Flame turned his gaze upward, only to reveal a massive rock jutting out from the ground. And on top of it, was a wolf. He was a brown wolf with a white underbelly. His muscles gleamed beneath his fur, and his amber eyes glowed. "As many of you may have seen, a new wolf has stepped into our clan." He began. his voice rumbled with pride. "This wolf has brought us two new kits." He howled. A gasp from the crowd sounded throughout the clearing. "His name..." The leader cautiously approached. "Is Flame." Suddenly the whole clan shook with unease. Pups ran to the nursery and hid in their dens. Their mothers soft tails wrapped around them with care. Suddenly a stab of sadness shot flame like a claw. His pups needed a mother too. How would they survive without it? Sakura had become weak without milk, and Halo was fine drinking from prey, but it never was good enough for him. "He will be staying with us for a few moons until he is fit to leave." He triumphantly called. Suddenly a warning howls sounded from the exit, and wolfs began pouring from the brambles. The wolves heads turned immediatly to the bushes. "Tribe of Falling Stars!" The leader quickly howled. "We are being attacked!" His eyes wide with surprise, he lunged forward at a nearby wolf. His claws ripped through the enemies pelt like melting snow. His pelt, sticky and red, flew across the clearing like a leaf. Suddenly the rest of the tribe joined in. "Fangclan! You traitors! I thought we had a truce!?" The Tribe leader growled as he took a bite of fur from a silver she-wolf. "Foolish kage, your clan will never be good enough for a truce!" Snarled the silver she-wolf. Her eyes burned with a power that Flame had never seen before. Her teeth were white and shining in the sunlight as she clawed Kage. "Flame!" Kage screeched. "Get everyone away.... We cannot win!" He howled as the Silver she-wolf took another bite from his scruff. Suddenly Flames body began to glow red with power, and every wolf in the clearing stopped dead in their tracks. "No.... We will win!" He snarled as his tail lashed powerfully. A bolt of fire shot through the clearing. It then landed on the fresh kill pile, which acted like leaves. The flame shot up larger and larger, until it seemed like a forest fire. "Run!" Kage howled as he charged toward the nursery. His pelt blew in the wind as the rest of the clan followed. Suddenly the fire began to move. Its heat had already stunned a few enemies, but his pelt still flew with power. The flame then began to turn blue in the moonlight that was approaching. Then, like a cut in a leaf, the whole of Fangclan raced backward into the bramble, their pelts torn. Suddenly Flames body went limp, and his fur lie flat again with nothing left but a small red scar. "Flame!" Miki, the she-wolf who had found him, called. "Flame are you alright?" Her small paws pressed down on where his scar lay. But when she lifted her paw back up, the scar began to glow pink. Its illuminating glow made her eyes sparkle like a star. "Quick, get him to the healer!" Miki howled. "We need him safe." She added softly.
