Stand Down
Bandit glanced at the street signs as they whizzed past, the bus came to a halt outside the Half-Pint pub on Harverd Lane. MS leaned over the edge of the roof, watching in fascination as the people hurried about with their daily routines. He was suddenly interrupted as Bandit pushed him off the bus and dragged him into a nearby alleyway. Before he could speak, she placed a flipper over his beak and glanced around the street. Bandit let go and took a deep breath. “Ok, looks like we weren’t followed… You… You listening to me?” Mech-Skipper was looking out at the street, watching a little girl crying to her mother, pointing to a doll in the window. Bandit put her flipper to her head and took another breath, this time, out of frustration. “What am I going to do with you…?”
Meanwhile, CC, Rune and the penguins were just about to set off to find Bandit. Kowalski was making some last minute adjustments to his device when Skipper called him to a quick meeting. CC waited for him to leave, and then picked up the device when suddenly; Private walked in and saw her. “What are you doing?” He asked, hugging his lunacorn. CC jumped”Oh, hey Private. I was just… uh…” She struggled to think of something to say but Private already knew. “You’re planning to stop them from finding her aren’t you” He asked, his eyes narrowed. CC couldn’t lie to him and let out a sigh. “Yes, I was… Skipper will hurt Bandit, I know he will. I can’t live with that” She confessed and turned back to the device and grabbed a hammer from the toolbox under the table. Private watched as she raised the hammer and then spoke. “Well, why can’t you just convince Skipper that the robot isn’t a threat anymore?” CC puzzled at his answer and lowered the hammer. “What do you mean?” she replied. Private drew a breath “Umm, well now that the robot is with Bandit, it won’t come here will it?” Private was naïve but this time, he had a good point. Bandit was determined to reprogram MS, so she’s bound to be keeping him on a tight leash. CC put the hammer down, “I guess it’s worth a shot…” She led Private back to the others, to face Skipper.
Back in the city, Bandit had led MS into a park and hid in the bushes. “Look, see those children?” She pointed to a group of children playing on the swings and climbing frame. “See how happy they are? Look at that butterfly! It’s so beautiful!” She spoke with excitement in her voice. MS watched the butterfly in fascination as it landed on a leaf nearby. Suddenly, one of the children began to cry as he tripped over. MS observed as his mother tended to him, then lowered his head. Bandit yelled “Duck!” and a ball hit the bush. Mech-Skipper jumped and struck the ball with a fierce blow, so fierce; it was launched all the way to the other side of the park. The children scowled and chased after it, taking no thought to look in the bush. Bandit got to her feet and glanced at him in amazement, he was still in the pose he struck the ball in, and his eyes were fixed, focused on the group of squabbling children. She reached out to touch his flipper but before she even made contact, his head spun around and fixed on her. Bandit snatched back her flipper and stood up. His eyes were so scary now, penetrating, lifeless… She was beginning to have second thoughts and tears formed in her eyes. MS still focused on her, but then, relaxed and dropped his guard. He made a breakthrough.
MS didn’t fully understand what Bandit was expecting from him. He had been programmed to attack. To kill. But whenever he struck out in accordance to his programming, she was disappointed in him. That’s when he started to make progress. He was beginning to associate fighting and attacking, as a negative. Despite wanting to follow protocol, he wanted to make her happy although he didn’t understand what happy was.

it was a cold dark night. kowalski was out for a walk in the park. he felt like something was watching him. he turned around again to see a frying pan hit him in the face.
then he was dragged away by a black bird. he woke up to see a huge portal device. it was glowing blue like the night sky. he looks over to his left as he feels something move next to him.
he gasps as he sees Kasey tied up next to him. then he feels his head get lifted up by something. the black bird that had dragged him off earlier was staring at him with purple eyes.
the bird forcefully opened his beak and poured the blue liquid down his throat. kowalski's eyes turned light green but then turned blue again. he fainted after that...
