Massive pawes tread lightly
On the white blanket of snowflakes
Stealthy and silent, a shadow deadly
A cry in the night, the mountain echoing its pain
Of a preadetor missing its prey
Thick, sleek fur blending into rock
Eyes catching the moonlight's gleam
Teeth bared in frustration, head held high
For the Queen of the Mountain nothing escapes
Her sharp claws capture the one she was after
A bleak empty silence hangs in the air
Finally, a caterwal of triumph
Her reward after a long and trecherous journey
For now, this Queen lives to fight another day
