James Van Der Beek wordt voor de tweede keer vader. De vrouw van de 34-jarige acteur is zwanger. "Net toen we dachten dat we niet gelukkiger konden worden, heeft het universum plannen gemaakt om onze dochter een broertje of zusje te geven", laat de Amerikaan weten.

Van der Beek en zijn vrouw Kimberly Brook werden vorig jaar september ouders van Olivia. De twee trouwden vorig jaar, nadat Van der Beek eerder zeven jaar was gehuwd met actrice Heather McComb.
De Amerikaan speelde van 1998 tot 2003 de hoofdrol in de televisieserie Dawson's Creek. Ook was hij te zien in de misdaadserie Criminal Minds. (Belga / KAV)
