After spending a rough night in a boiler room with baby Leah and Ste, Amy begins to wonder whether they can make it. Anxious for Amy to dump Ste and come back, Sarah and Michaela dangle tantalising images of sharing digs and looking after Leah together when they meet her in the village. The girls sense she is wavering when Ste arrives with news about emergency accommodation. Though Amy is torn, she decides to walk away to start a new life with Ste and Leah.
Still distraught from the shock revelation that he and Beth are siblings, Rhys is irritable and unable to eat. A worried Suzanne assumes Noel's death has hit him hard but senses there might be something else. Rhys is unnerved by the irony of her statement as Suzanne declares that it's unhealthy for a family to have secrets. An angry Rhys confronts Beth and orders her to leave town immediately but Beth refuses point blank. She has as much right to live in the village as he has.
Steph wants to be a proper part of Max's family but is worried how she can get Tom to like her again. When Max helps Steph rehearse for her role in a safety video, she wants to return the favour. She offers to help him out with Tom but wonders how this can be possible when Tom will barely acknowledge her. Max reassures her Tom is just jealous but decides to have a talk with him. Steph's devastated when she overhears what Tom really thinks of her.
The Baby Diego's are desperate for their big break but disagree on the way forward. Fletch and Josh are also concerned by Michaela's bossiness. At Michaela's suggestion, the band busks in the village with old songs passed off as their own. They even get cash thrown at them as Michaela's saucy dance moves send the local lads wild. However the band is embarrassingly forced to abort the gig when Steph pans their act as a rip off and Fletch and Josh agree to ditch Michaela. The only problem now is finding the courage to tell her.
