House entered silently the room of Ian. It’s been three days since he decided to transfer his son to Princeton Plainsboro yet kidney donors failed to match Ian’s blood type and the transplant list was full of patient names that were desperate to have a kidney too. Ian’s condition was getting worse as the days go by. He was on dialysis and IV fluids were added on. Cuddy was seated, while holding her son’s hand, on the chair next to the bed. House sat on the edge of the bed and learned that his old and new team with Wilson were there visiting his son.
House: <To the team> thank you <his team and Wilson nodded then he looked at Cuddy> --- There’s still no match
Cuddy started sobbing and the room was silent again. House got up and moved next to her, wrapped his right arm in front and hugged her as he moved his hand up and down.
House: I haven’t given up… I won’t give up… --- That’s the reason why I would give my kidney to him.
His team was shocked and all eyes on the couple. Cuddy stopped and moved back as she looked at her husband.
Cuddy: Greg, you ---
House: I made a blood check on me, we have the same kidney cell structure. I am qualified as a donor.
Cuddy: <Sighed> can’t we find any other who could ---
House: Damn it, it’s my son who’s dying. --- I can’t stand back and look at him while he fought between life and death. --- Don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine. For once, don’t think of me as your husband, just think of Ian. <He stood> I’ve scheduled the procedure two in the afternoon today.
He moved closer to Ian and kissed his son on its forehead. He looked at Cuddy who sobs quietly and he kissed her too before leaving the room alone.
By two in the afternoon, House was on the operating table with machines connected to him. He was already unconscious as the nurses pulled the operating table of Ian just a few steps away. Chase was the one in charge in the operation as Taub and Thirteen helped along. Cuddy was standing in the viewing area with Wilson and Foreman. Finally, the operation started. Chase began cutting House’s right abdomen and began sucking out blood to clear ways and on the other side, the same procedure was being done by Dr. Gales. In the middle of the operation, Ian’s heart rate monitor beeped. He was losing pulse and heart rate. Cuddy panicked but can’t do anything. After awhile, as other nurses on Gales’s side was busy stabilizing Ian, House’s monitor showed the same condition. The father and the son were at the edge of their death cliffs. Gales and Chase tried to restart their hearts but they couldn’t succeed. Cuddy couldn’t bear to watch this scenario so Wilson embraced her for support.
Wilson: They could make it, trust me, they will.
As the real world moved fast to revive them, House found himself on a grassy part of nowhere. He saw two figures, one tall and one small, he’s familiar with walking hand and hand meters away from him. He was wearing the hospital gown and the small one was wearing it too but the tall one wears a suit. He wasn’t limping when he walked towards the figures that were walking faster than he is. The small one turned to face him and he was surprised upon knowing that it was Ian.
House: Ian! --- Ian! <but the two just kept walking, with Ian’s eyes on him and he tried catching them> Ian! --- Ian!
Finally the two figures stopped and the taller one turned to see him. It was John House, House’s father who already passed away. He stopped and he could see his father smiling back as well as his son.
House: <Whispered> Dad?
House moved closer to John and Ian. It took seconds before they spoke.
John: It’s good to see you again, Gregory.
House: <Stammered first> Where are you going? Why do you have my son? Are we dead?
John: <Smiling> We’re just walking around. You didn’t told me that I have already a grandson.
House: Do I have to? You’re dead, you can see wherever and whatever you wanted to see.
John: <With a smirk> You haven’t change even if you are a father yourself. --- Gregory, I know you’re mad at me and even to the extent of hating me but son, there’s nothing more I asked for, during my life, but to spend time with you.
House: So you’re taking my son as pay back for me?
John: <Looking at Ian> Ian’s a great boy but --- <sighed and he looked back at House> I’m not your dad.
House: You knew?
John: <Nodded> But don’t think that’s the reason why we have misunderstanding most often than usual. I never felt you’re not from me, I have loved you so much, believe that. If ever I have given the chance to live again, I won’t stayed late at night and during holidays in my damn job. <John offered Ian’s hand to House> So don’t screw your own fatherhood with your own job.
House: <He got Ian’s hand and Ian moved to his side and they were silent for awhile> Thank you
John moved closer to his son and hugged him for the very last time while tapping House’s back. It took House quite a short while before returning the embrace. That’s the last moment that House felt the real presence and love of his father as Ian looked at them smiling. They both moved back only to see both of them were smiling.
House: <Sighed> We have to go back now
John smiled and nodded then scrambled Ian’s hair. House and Ian turned back and began walking to where they were before.
John: Greg… <House and Ian turned once again to face him> I’m proud of you
House gave a smile before they continue walking.
Back to the real world, Chase and Gales were sweating trying to restart their heart. Cuddy was helpless in tears as Wilson held her since it has been twenty times since Chase and Gales first yell of ‘Clear!’
Gales: C’mon Ian ---- CLEAR! <Ian moved and the heart rate machine beeped>
Nurse 1: Dr. Gales, he’s back.
Finally Gales, who was bathing in sweat, breathe at ease. A minute later, Chase’s nurse also declared that House was also brought back.
The two days later, House finally opened his eyes. Everything’s blurred but he knows in an instant that Cuddy’s staring at him and seconds later, what he see was clear again.
Cuddy: Oh thank God, you’re back. <She climbed on bed and hugged him and he did as well> I was worried --- <House glanced at Ian who was lying on its bed next to his and he sat down and added his morphine> Greg, stay back…
But he didn’t mind instead he walked towards his son and Cuddy did the same. She was looking at him.
Cuddy: Go back to your bed. Your stitches aren’t that healed yet and it must be painful…
House: I added my morphine <Cuddy looked at Ian this time> Is he okay?
Cuddy: Yes. Your kidney’s working well in his system but he hasn’t awaken since he’s brought in two days ago.
House sighed and slowly began walking to his bed. Cuddy’s eyes widened when Ian’s blue eyes began showing up again.
Ian: Papa…
House stopped and looked at Cuddy who was looking at him.
Cuddy: He’s back…
House moved to Ian’s side again and kissed and hugged him at once as Cuddy did the same.
House: I love you Ian… I love you so much… And papa mean that, okay?
Ian: <After smiling> I love you papa…
House: <To the team> thank you <his team and Wilson nodded then he looked at Cuddy> --- There’s still no match
Cuddy started sobbing and the room was silent again. House got up and moved next to her, wrapped his right arm in front and hugged her as he moved his hand up and down.

Hi,
This isn't that interesting really, it just made me smile today.
I'm a fan of 13. more on that later though.
I work in the security industry (malware, viruses, all that jazz).
I bet you're all familiar with spam emails, right?
Now we have this 'saying' in the industry that you ain't someone just yet until you're used for spam.
What's funny is that OW made her spam debut earlier this year: link
see Figure 2. LOL.
I've been thinking of sharing this to her through Twitter, but since she's not following me *sob* i can't send it as a direct message. I can't just address it to her cause then all my other followers (officemates mostly) will know that I am happy about spam, which is not so good in my line for work. :p
So there. I hope I didn't bore anyone with this. I know most of you are younger than me and not really interested with work stuff, but it was just too fun to not share, at least for me. :)
