Chapter one: Knock Knock... Who's there? ...
Eight years earlier
Hugh had gone to bed at 10 pm. His wife was flying from England and was expected to arrive somewhere around 5 am. He had to go earlier to bed so that he wouldn't be sleepy in the morning. After all, he had to get up at 4 am. He'd called the calling service just before he fell asleep, and requested to be woken up at that time. He didn't rely much on his alarm clock.
The kids had arrived to LA two weeks before and Hugh was glad he had some alone time with them.
They'd played tennis, Becca and Hugh against Billy and Charlie. It wasn't fair at all, Charlie and Billy being really good at tennis, and Hugh having no time to practice because he was shooting grater time of the day. He didn't care, though. They had a great time together.
He often wondered why it wasn't like that when Jo was around.
However, it was to expect as his marriage was on the rocks for several years. Jo found every opportunity to blame his work for everything, making him feel bad that he was miles away from his family. He couldn't blame her, she was right.
They were separated for ten months a year. It could have been nine months, and it had been in the beginning, when he'd just arrived to US to shoot the series. But as the time went by, Hugh found himself staying in the states even then when he could have flown over to UK.
He didn't know why he hadn't felt comfortable at home. Or rather, he knew, but didn't want to acknowledge it.
The sound of his cell phone woke him up. He checked the time. It was fifteen minutes 4 am, so, it wasn't the time for him to wake up. Who was calling then? He checked the caller ID and when he didn't recognize it, he put the cell away. It could be some crazy fan who got his number, somehow, and was calling him in the middle of the night. Hugh made a mental reminder to get a new number when he had a chance.
Just as he was about to drift off, the phone rang again. Annoyed, he picked it up and answered.
“Hello?” he tried to be as polite as he could, after all he was British.
“Mr. Laurie?” unfamiliar voice asked on the other end. Who the heck was calling him? This had to be some joke.
“Yes?” he didn't know if he did the right thing confirming it was his number. He hoped it wasn't some crazy fan stalking him.
As the person started to explain his reasons for calling Hugh so late, Hugh froze. He literally went numb and regretted not wanting crazy fan stalking him.
This wasn't happening. According to the person on the phone, it was. Deciding it could be a joke, Hugh asked the person how could he trust his sayings. The person told Hugh to turn on the TV.
As soon as he did, he realized whoever it was on the phone was telling the truth. Hugh really, really wished it had been some crazy fan calling rather than this.
As he realized what he'd been said and what happened, Hugh dropped the phone in despair.
He couldn't believe what he watched being aired on the TV.
After a few minutes of thinking what to do, he realized he had to call someone before the kids found out what happened. They'd be devastated when they found out. He went searching for his phone between the sheets.
When he'd finally found it, he didn't have the slightest idea what to do. His hands started trembling as he dialed the familiar number.
“Hello?” womanly voice answered, he must have woken her up.
“Lisa... I...” Hugh started, unsure of what to say, or how.
“Hugh, do you know what time is it?” she asked sleepily.
“Lisa... Jo's plane crashed...” Hugh's voice broke
“Wha-at?” Lisa asked in disbelief.
“It's... all over the news” he almost lost his ability of speech.
“How did it happen?” Lisa still couldn't believe what she was told.
“The plane went into a cloud... and it crashed with another one...” he shook his head still in disbelief, realizing in a second she couldn't see him.
“I'm coming to get you, do you know which hospital she's in?” Lisa said losing her breath, she must have been dressing up in the process.
“LA general, the plane crashed near by the city.” he replied, getting up from the bed.
“Hugh, wake the kids, I'm there in 15.”
Bet you didn't know how I'm gonna get rid of...

What do you guys think? Did the 2nd comment piss you off aswell?

OMG i was reading a spoiler for House and then i clicked on another link (which was DS apologising to huddy fans about the sex being fake and all) but then there is this comment from Lisa Edelstein...(flailing already) and it's quoted from the site (i've bolded some of the wording)
It was certainly meaningful to Lisa Edelstein, who didn't hallucinate making out with Hugh Laurie. "Even though it didn't happen for real, I got to shoot that scene -- and I might get to shoot another later on down the road," she said with a laugh. Edelstein then delivered this message to Huddy fans: "Stay with me. Give Huddy time. Don't give up hope."

I wonder if Hugh Laurie feels the same???
*bobs eyebrows*
