Chapter 17: Desperate Housewife
Two weeks later
Hugh and Lisa had made up the night he'd gone to talk to her. They'd sat down for more than two hours talking about what exactly it had been and was that they wanted in their life. She admitted of being a bit too obsessive with getting pregnant. She laughed about the times they stayed in their bedroom for the whole day. They'd come to the conclusion that they wanted a kid, but they would slow down with the whole process. However, the slowing down part came only after they'd made up... In the more fun way than just talking.
Hugh was glad his old Lisa was back.
She was all smiling, enjoying the time they spent together... And the kids were home more often. They said they didn't like the campus that much, but Hugh knew why they'd stayed away from the home in the first place.
It was Sunday evening and they both wanted to spend it in the bed with each other. But in the way that meant lying on the bed, snuggled beneath the sheets, watching Desperate Housewives. Lisa sure loved that show, and watching a bunch of crazy women with problems worse than Hugh and Lisa's, was fun.
Suddenly, Lisa's phone rang. She quickly retrieved it from her nightstand, before her ringtone 'Sexy Chick' got a chance to get to the singing part. Hugh smirked as he remembered many times the kids teased Lisa about her ringtone. The song was a hit more than two years before. It was funny that Lisa even considered it decent enough for her to listen to, but it was more than silly that she decided to have it as her ringtone.
“Oh, it's doctor Fisher” she smiled as she answered the phone.
She had been having some stomach problems lately. No wonder! She ate all that 'pretend' food, as Hugh liked to call it. Something had to fall behind. And this time, it was her oversensitive stomach.
As Lisa continued talking with her doctor, Hugh tried to concentrate on what was happening in the show.
Gabrielle and Bree were fighting, again. Over the fact that Gabi didn't want Bree to cater on her kid's birth day party. Big deal! These women were fun to watch... Drama queens. Good thing Lisa wasn't one of them. He sighed of relief. That would have been murder!
“Are you sure?” Hugh heard Lisa say as he failed to concentrate on the show he was watching.
Lisa soon ended the conversation and started to distract Hugh with comments such as 'Honey' and 'Sweetie'.
“I'm watching the show here,hun” Hugh tried to be polite. When Lisa realized Hugh wasn't going to listen to her, she moved to the thing she was the best at. Kissing.
First she started kissing his collar bone, and he didn't know how, but she was onto him in no time.
He finally gave in and Lisa spoke “Are you finally gonna listen to me?”
He nodded “If I must” he pretended to be a bit angry with her... And he kind of was... But it didn't matter. Although, he thank god he was Tivoing the show!
“Remember when we had that huge fight a month ago...” she asked him, kissing his nose gently
“Yes...” he nodded, trying to catch the glimpse of TV in the corner of his eye
“And do you remember what we did when we made up?” she moved onto kissing his neck
“Yes” he nodded again, not quite aware of what she was asking, because he finally got a good view of the TV
“Are you even listening to me?” Lisa moved a bit from him, shooting him a glare.
“Yes!” He turned his gaze back at her, and as he did, she relaxed and turned back to kissing him.
“Well... we should fight more often” she beamed at him, confusing him with her sayings.
“What? Why?” He frowned.. The woman was up to something, and he didn't know what it was. And that couldn't be good, could it?
“Well... turns out, it's our baby formula” she grinned, now catching him completely of the guard.
What was she saying? Was she implying that...
“No way!” He exclaimed not believing what he thought was happening
“Way!” She grinned so much,was she was to grin more, her smile would cover half her face.
“We're going to have a baby?” he asked somewhat apprehensive.
“Unless Fisher is wrong! Remind me to sue him if it turns out he is” she laughed a bit before she got a chance to kiss him passionately.
Yep.... You're getting what you wanted :DDDD
