January 1st 2012
It's the start of a new year. A new dawn. A new life. Today i've left the small town of South Park to begin my own journey.
Last year on May 26th I finally turned 16. I graduated early from Park County High School
as a sophmore with a diploma in Psychology. Only 2 other sophmores graduated. Wendy and Token both managed to graduate too. Token got a diploma in Cultures, Wendy got a diploma in Citizenship. All the other kids in my grade won't be graduating until Senior Year. After I recieved my diploma I told Stan about my college plans. He said he couldn't believe he had to go through the rest of high school without me. I told him he'd be fine without me to help him and we could still see each other out of school. Since i've graduated i've decided to take a gap year until I start college next Autumn in New York. I was going to spend my gap year travelling around and doing something with my life. All i've done so far is go to work, listen to my CDs and play video games with Stan, Kenny and Butters.
Because i'm 16 now i'm moving into my own apartment. The guy i'm sharing with is this 18
year old college guy named Duncan. He posted an ad in the paper looking for a roommate and when I applied he agreed to let me move in with him as long as i'm mature and don't act like a little kid. He said this because I was by far the youngest applicant. I've been planning to move for a while now. I want to get as far away from South Park as possible. Not that I don't like my home town, it's just that if I stay there i'll never accomplish anything. I was lucky to have even found a part time job there, and even that was stacking tins in the convinience store. There's nothing left for me in South Park any more. It's time I move on.
Yesterday my friends and family hosted a going away party for me. Loads of people turned up to say goodbye. Token and Butters told me to keep in touch with them. Wendy gave me a kiss on the cheek (which made Stan anxious) and said I was a good friend. Kenny made me a basketball hoop as a present (he couldn't afford a real one) and told me to write to him. Cartman didn't arrive until the party was almost over. He said he was glad I was leaving
because he'd never have to see me again. Then, looking down at his feet, he grumbled that I was an okay friend and he'd miss me a bit. Stan was the last person to go. We hugged and we promised to phone and email all the time and i'd come back to visit during Summer Vacation. After everyone had left Mom and Dad gave me one last present; my very own car. During the summer i'd got my license and now I had a car of my own. It wasn't much to look at, it was a second hand, faded-red truck. But at least now I had something to drive.
After giving Ike a hug and saying goodbye to my parents I set off for New York.
"Ugh! How much longer until I get to New York?" It was 10pm at night and Kyle was stuck in a traffic jam. He'd been driving since 6pm yesterday, only stopping at a b&b off the motorway to get some sleep. Up until there the journey had been a smooth one, he'd travelled many miles across the country to get to New York. He'd been in traffic for the past 2 hours. He craned his neck trying to see what the hold up was.
"Next time I want to go to New York I go to the airport," Kyle muttered under his breath,
"At least i'll get there before 2013."
Ahead of him he could hear the sound of sirens wailing. 'Some idiot probably crashed into the motorway while we could still travel at over 10 miles per hour', Kyle thought, scowling. In about half an hours time the traffic began to move and Kyle could continue on his journey to the big apple.
About 20 minutes after the traffic had started moving again his phone began to ring. Sighing,
Kyle pulled over and got out his cell phone. He recognised Duncan's number from when he had phoned up 2 months ago to apply for a room. He put his cell on speaker phone and listened as Duncan began to talk.
"Hey dude! Just calling to let you know that the luggage you sent ahead, all the heavy stuff,
has arrived. I've put most of it in your room. I'll let you decide what to do with it when you get here. Anyway I just got a call from someone named Stanley saying to tell you he'll be able
to visit you from May 18th to 20th. Got to go, my mates have arrived, we're heading out to
the club. See you when you arrive tomorow!"
Kyle hung up the phone and sighed. May 18th. He had to wait until May to be able to see
Stan again. 'May's a long while away. Can I really stay away from Stan that long? Maybe I
should have just stayed in South Park, at least then i'd be with the guy who's been my best
friend since Kindergarten.' After waiting a couple of seconds Kyle pulled back out onto the motorway and continued on his journey to New York. He was just 1 day away from his new life.
January 3rd 2012
I'm in New York. The Big Apple. This place is so much cooler than South Park. There's
buildings and skyscrapers as far as the eye can see. I got off the motorway at a hotel at
about 3am this morning to get some rest, and boy did I need it. When I finally got here I
spent the whole afternoon sightseeing. I'm gonna go try and find my new appartment now.
Hopefully it'll be just the place I hope it is.
'It isn't.' Kyle thought as he reached the tall grey, crumbling building. The ad Duncan put out had said it looked quite historical but that was just start of it. The front door was missing a
hinge and when Kyle stepped inside the first thing he noticed was a huge patch of moss and
fungus leaking in through the ceiling from the appartment above. 'Gross!', he thought as he
tried the elevator. After pressing the button a few times and nothing happening, Kyle started
to angrily jab it until his finger was numb.
A student about to leave the apartment block saw what he was doing and said, "Elevators
broken man, have to take the stairs."
Kyle swiftly turned around and grabbed the man's arm. "What!?", he shouted, "then why
isn't there a sign that says that?"
The student looking blank as if nothing had happened, calmly removed his arm from Kyle's
fierce grip.
"There's no sign because my friend, the owner of the building doesn't want to waste any
paper writing a sign on the there. He's an eco-warrior like me. That's also why this apartment
block, built back in the mid-1800s, has never been renovated or improved, because him and
his family who own it want to preserve it's natural state, man."
As the student left the building, Kyle, with his mouth hanging open, looked at the piece of
paper in his hands. Apartment B Floor 12. Kyle looked up at the looming staircase, at his
luggage, and then back at the stairs again before slowly banging his head against the wall.
12 flights of stairs later and Kyle had reached his floor. He heaved the last of his luggage
infront of his new home. 'Could be worse,' he thought, 'Could be living out on the streets for
the rest of my college life here.' Slowly he took out the key Duncan had sent him and unlocked
the door.
"Holy.....", Kyle couldn't even finish his sentance, because in the wide, spacious apartment before him, his new home, was a bomb site. Layers of empty junk food containers and soiled rubbish stretched out on the floor. Kyle carefully picked his way towards the couch, which had one seat covered in peanut butter. As he sat down he felt something lumpy beneath the couch cushion. As he reached beneath his seat he pulled out an old black thong. Screaming he tossed it across the room into the hands of his new roommate.
"Sorry about that dude, forgot Lydia had left that there after we had sex last month."
Duncan, his new roommate, who was still holding the thong, looked at him and shrugged
appologetically. He had black hair, similar in colour to Stan's 'sigh', in a ponytail. His chin was covered in stubble, not so short he could barley grow facial hair at all but not so long that he was bothered to grow a real beard. He had blue grey eyes which seemed to twinkle in delight at Kyle's disgust. He was fairly tall, not very fit but not fat either. He was wearing a black, sweat covered t-shirt, ripped jeans and grey converse. A half smile played at his lips when he looked at Kyle.
Kyle, realising he was still gaping, quickly introduced himself and brushed his hands on the back of his faded jeans when he thought Duncan wasn't looking.
"Sorry this place is such a dump dude, landlord is still working on a new 'eco-friendly' waste disposal system and I haven't had the chance to clear up yet." He tossed the thong into the open door of his room and smiled.
"It's OK, I don't mind the mess." Kyle smiled in what he hoped was an authentic care free
way, whilst trying not to focus on the pile of laundry in the corner which he thought had just
moved.
"A lot of us have tried to complain about the landlord but until we can find someone else to
manage the building we'll be stuck with a 12 flight staircase, dodgy solar panels and no garbage can." Duncan walked across to the couch, wiped off the peanut butter stain and slumped down lazily, patting the seat next to him for Kyle to sit on. "I got used to the no elevator situation when I moved in last year, it kinda reminds me of the problem they have in The Big Bang Theory. You watch it?"
Kyle walked over and sat down next to him, a smile forming on his face. "I never miss it. Did
you see the episode where it shows you how Sheldon and Leonard blew up the elevator?"
Duncan smiled back, "Yeah it's one of my faves! But the best one has got to be where Sheldon dressed up as..."
"The Doppler effect!" Kyle and Duncan announced at the same time, grinning and laughing.
By the end of the evening the 2 had bonded over cola and a 14" pepperoni pizza. When Kyle went to his room at 23:14 that night he thought about his day so far. 'Yeah the building
might be a dump, but at least i've got a great roommate!'
Kyle took off his clothes, chucked them in the corner and got into bed. He had never thought
his first day living in New York would be so great.

MR.Garrison: Kylie, I've noticed that you and Kyle are becoming good friends.
Me: yes, that's true.
Mr. Garrison: Well, I think that's great. I think that you and Kyle were meant for each other, and together, i know that you and him will change the world and make it a better place.
Me:..........Thanks, Mr.G.
I ran out of class, got my stuff together as fast as possible, and met up with Kyle.
"Sorry I took so long, Mr.Garrison was talking to me about how you and were meant to be together"I apologized to Kyle.
"That's wierd. Yesterday, Mr. Garrison told me the same thing about you.
We walked to the bus, and sat down. On the bus ride, we continued our conversation of randomness. We talked about Basically anything that you could imagine. It didn't last that long, until I asked a question that would change our relationship forever.

"kyle, how do you do that?" I asked Kyle once the bus started moving.
It' pretty simple" Kyle answered. " You know how people always say that beautiful people can get other people to do what they want? it's kinda like that. In fact, you're so beautiful that you could probably do it yourself."
He then leaned forward and kissed me on the lips. I loved the way his lips felt against mine. I opened my mouth a little bit so his tongue could wrestle with mine. He quickly understood the gesture. We kissed for a full minute. I was sad when he leaned back. I wanted to go back for more, but I didn't want to be seen as a huge slut.
Our bus arrived at the school. We walked in together.

Kyle gave Cartman and Kenny his usual death stare. the two looked away. Kyle always seemed to know what to do to get people to bug off. I wonder how he does that.
Right after that, the bus came and picked us up. When I thought that we were safe from torment, Kenny does what is probably the grossest thing imaginable.
"Hey Kyle!" Kenny shouted as he got on the bus.
He then formed a V with his middle and pointer finger and flaled his tongue between them.
"Am I right?" Kenny asked.
Kyle gave Kenny a second death stare. he then sat down. HOW DOES HE DO THAT?!

"hey, Kylie!" He greeted, "What did you think of A Day To Remember? By the way, I love your shirt!."
"Thanks! I really love them! Thank you for recommending them." I answered.
Stan, Kenny, and Cartman arrive.
"Kyle and Kylie sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love, then comes marriage, Then comes kyle putting his dick in Kylie's mouth!" Cartman and kenny sang together.
Stan looked like he was about to laugh his head off, but he contained himself. I have lost all respectthat i had for him.

Last night I had another weird dream. Kyle and I were in our 20s and getting married. Stan, Kenny, and Cartman were the groomsmen, but there were no bridesmaids. Big shocker there. Kyle and I danced to Rise Against's 'swing life away' I swear that I was almost gonna faint because Kyle was singing the entire song into my ear as we danced. In reality, It was more like standing and moving our hips from side to side.
The next morning, I woke up with a smile in my face. I put on my Fall Out Boy shirt, black skinny jeans, and black converse high tops. I ran out the door without saying a word to my dad. I ran to my bus stop. For the first time i forever, I was excited to go to school.

When I get to my room, i take my Ipod out of my backpack. I go on YouTube and search "A Day To Remember" and click on the first result, a lyric video for the song, 'the Downfall Of Us All"
It was love at first song. The lyrics spoke as much to me as The Wonder Years'. I loved the lyrics and the background music. My favorite line of the song made me feel like that line was written just for me:
"This town will be the downfall of us all."
It's true. South park will be the downfall of us all. From all the weird stuff that goes on and the people that live here, it truly will be the downfall of us all. I listen to A Day To Remember until the sun went down.

"Cool. I'll check them out as soon as I get home." I answered.
For the rest of the bus ride, we talked about a bunch of awesome bands, like Fall Out Boy, Weezer, Good Charlotte, and everything in between. i was sad when I got off the bus. i wanted to talk until my tongue fell out of the mouth. I have never had a more interesting conversation with any of my peers than the conversation that I just Had with Kyle. I ran to my house. I was going to blast my ears out with A Day To Remember. I hope that this isn't some kind of joke. I was sorting dreading that A Day To Remember was going to be some kind of 60's hippie band like The Grateful Dead. It's name kinda gives off that sort of vibe. Maybe the name is supposed to be misleading.

The rest of the school day, I barely paid attention to what Mr.Garrison was talking about. I think it was about Miley Cyrus's downfall or something like that. After what seemed like a century, the final bell rang. I bolted to my locker like everyone else. I was suprised to see that Kyle had the locker right next to mine. We walked together to my bus, and sat at my usual spot, right behind the bus driver. For once, I was happy to be on the bus. Like Soupy from the wonder years, I wasn't sad anymore. I decided to share this with Kyle.
"Hey Kyle, guess what? I'm not sad anymore!" I exclaimed to Kyle
"You like The Wonder Years too?" Kyle asked me.
"yeah. their lyrics speak to me" I answered.
"I think you might like A Day To Remember. They have a very similar sound." Kyle suggested.

"don't worry. I've come to South Park to be your friend and lover." Kyle replied.
Cartman walks up. I fear for the worst to come out of his wretched mouth.
"Oh that's cool. Why don't you guys have sex in the woods or something?" Cartman asked us.
I coudn't believe he said that. How dare he eavesdrop on our conversation. Kyle gave him a death stare. If looks could kill, Cartman would have been burnt to a piece of bacon. He walked away with a look of fear in his eyes.
"how about this, we ride the bus together after school today?" Kyle asked.
"Sure!'' I answered as the whistle blew. Kyle and I walked into school together

An hour and a half later, the bell rang, meaning that it's time for recess. Everyone else ran outside, except for Kyle and I. I have nothing to look forward to in recess, except for a clique of girls calling me emo. I'm not emo! Just because I like emo music doesn't mean that I'm emo. I would never cut myself.
Kyle seems to be stalking me. it was really creeping me out. I decided to put an end to this once and for all.
"Look, just because you passed my test doesn't mean that I'm gonna start swooning over you" I said to kyle once we were outside.
I always do this. Whenever someone tries to be my friend, i say something really snarky and rude. They're always going to be a douche bag anyway.

I always do this. Whenever someone tries to be my friend, i say something really snarky and rude. They're always going to be a douche bag anyway.
"hello there,
The angel from my nightmare,
the shadow in the background of the morgue
the unsuspecting victim, of darkness in the valley
we can live like jack and Sally if we want
where you can always find me,
and we'll have Halloween on Christmas
and in the night we'll wish this never ends,
we'll wish this never ends."
I folded the sheet of paper in half and placed it on a corner of Kyle's desk. Five minutes later I get a response:
"Where are you?
and I'm so sorry
i cannot sleep, I cannot dream tonight
I need somebody and always,
this sick strange darkness
comes creeping in on so haunting every time

''Students, we have a new student joining us today." Mr.Garrison announced once everyone was settled. ''I'd like you all to meet Kyle Broflovski! How about you take the empty desk next to Kylie, Kyle?''
"okay." Kyle said obediantly, as he took a seat at the desk to the right of me.
Kyle was a lot hotter in real life than in my dream. But I couldn't let looks be the judge for whether or not he is the real Kyle. I decided to put him up to a test. I was going to right the first verse of a song, pass it to him, and see if he writes the rest of the song. I picked 'I Miss You' by Blink 182. I decided on that song because whenever I hear that song, I always think of that dream that I had. This is what I wrote to him:
