"Boy, it sure is fun to be home for a change!" Ashley told her sister Mary-Kate. The two teenage girls were walking their dog, Quincy, down their street. Mary-Kate nodded. "I love flying around the world on top-secret missions," she said. "But sometimes I get homesick." Mary-Kate and Ashley had the most amazing jobs. They were special agents. Their missions took them to faraway places all the time. "I get homesick, too," Quincy said.
"Shhh," Ashley said, looking down at the Scottish terrier. "Someone might hear you." "So?" Quincy asked. "So in case you forgot," Mary-Kate said with a smile, "real dogs don't talk!" Quincy looked like a normal dog and acted like a normal dog. But he was really a robot with special powers! He helped Mary-Kate< and Ashley on their missions.
"Shhh. Here comes Holly!" Ashley said. She pointed toward a girl with short blond hair who was walking down the block. "No more talking, Quincy." Holly was Mary-Kate and Ashley's friend. She was walking her new brown-and-white beagle, Tango. Tango was just a puppy. "Hi," Holly said, hurrying over to the girls. "You have to meet Tango." Ashley bent down to pet the puppy. "You're a good girl, Tango!" she said.
"Tango is the best," Holly said. "I'm so happy my parents finally let me get a dog." "Having a pet is a lot of work," Mary-Kate said. "You have to feed it. You have to walk it and take it to the vet. But you're doing a great job!" "That's because Tango is a great dog," Holly said. She gave Tango a hug. "You're the best dog in the whole world!" "Want to walk with us?" Ashley asked.
