OK, I already made an article about this, but I felt that I needed to write it again because I feel I must really get this subject off my chest again so everyone can understand it.
Now before anyone says anything, this is not a rant about my hate for Twilight, because I don't really hate her (not yet, anyway). She is a terrific character. This is rant about what she said to Sunset Shimmer in the crater after she defeated her at the end of the first Equestria Girls movie.
"You will never rule in Equestria. Any power you may have had in this world is gone! Tonight, you've shown everyone who you really are, you've shown them what is in your heart!"
If I didn't make it clear the first time I wrote this article, let me be as blunt as I possibly can; *clears throat*
I! HATE! THIS! SCENE!!
Yes, I hate it! I despise it! I detest it! And every time I think about it, it makes my blood boil to nearly 100,000 degrees, maybe even more. I can't think of a scene from any show, video game, etc, that has ever gotten me more mad, more upset, and more infuriated, than this scene. And I don't care what anyone says. "Well Sunset Shimmer was a nasty bully, she tried to kill Twilight and the gang, she was a bitch!" I don't care!! I don't like this scene, I hate it! And personally, I think Hasbro should remove it.
Now I gave a number of specific reasons why I hate this scene, but for the sake of it, I'll explain them again.
First, Celestia's past with Sunset. Celestia explained that she had regrets about her past with Sunset and hoped that she would one day come back to seek her guidance. At the end of the movie, she expresses concern for Sunset's well being, which shows she does care for her. Based on this, Twilight should not have said what she said, especially due to her personal respect for Celestia.
Second, Sunset Shimmer was crying when she turned into a demon. The only way I can possibly gave a pass for Twilight on this one is if she didn't see Sunset crying; but only slightly. Otherwise if she did, than for her to say what she said, I'm sorry, was wrong. From the look of it, she obviously didn't know she would turn into a demon and when she did, she didn't have any control over herself. She even said herself she wasn't a monster and you know what, I don't think she was. She was just a bully, nothing more. So for Twilight to say, 'you've shown everyone who you really are, you've shown them what is in your heart," to her like that, was just wrong in my opinion.
Like I said before, they should change the scene to where Twilight helps Sunset out of the crater (without telling her off) and gently talking to her. Or have Sunset reject Twilight's offer of friendship and walk away and then have her be an anti-hero/villain.
I've now contacted Hasbro twice about this issue and I really hope they take my request into consideration.
Overall, to make my point clear if I haven't already before, I hate this scene from the movie! I detest it, I despise it, I loathe it, and I think it should be erased! Every time I watch the movies,, I think of this scene, every time I see reformed Sunset Shimmer (who I don't have much of a problem with, mind you), I think of this scene, hell, even sometime when I see Twilight in the show, I think of this scene and each and every time I do, I feel I need to punch something hard!! I don't hate Twilight, I don't want to hate her, but whenever I think of this scene, I find myself getting closer and closer and closer and closer and closer to it. Fortunately, there are scenes of her in show being delightfully awkward and such, that almost make me forget about this scene. But nonetheless, I sincerely hope that Hasbro indeed follows through on my request and removes this scene from the movie.

Pinkamena: (winds up in a dark cave, gloating to herself about never having been caught).
Unfortunately for her, Shining Armor, wanting revenge for poor Twilight, and all the other victims (but mostly Twilight), followed her.
Without warning, Shining Armor began beating the living crap out of her.
Shining Armor: (suddenly stops after punching her face for a full 20 minutes) Wait! Wait! One more punch will kill you!.. And I won't kill you.
Pinkamena: (nearly dead but somehow still smiling) That somehow means I win!.. I kill.. Go to jail.. Break out.. Kill again!.. Instand revers-
Shining Armor: (annoyed) yes, yes. It's an endless cycle.. But I sore to let the court do their work.. What to do.. (thinking) Hmmmmmm.
