I'm used to getting mixed reviews regarding my "Heard if First From Tree Hill" series. And that's okay. You all have your own viewpoints too, right? So, if anyone thinks my OTH predictions come from somewhere out in space, get ready to leave some critical comments after reading this latest entry. I am about to throw you for a loop!

Episode 6x15: "Screen Writer's Blue"

Lucas, Julian and that sorry excuse for a director, Reese, are casting roles for the movie. We have Brooke #2, who could NOT be more annoying if she made a career out of trying. We have Peyton #2, who actually resembles high school P. Sawyer, with her kninky blonde curls. And we have another Naley couple, who might want to try saying their lines with some enthusiasm. Who Lucas picked to play himself has not yet been revealed, but production for "Ravens" seems to be coming along. Finally. Let's all assume that Lucas Scott is gonna take Hollywood by storm, putting One Tree Hill on the big sreen. Theoretically speaking, of course. Unless...that's what ends up happening.

Have I lost anybody yet? I'll back up. Tree Hill is a small town - too small for two versions of Nate, Luke, Hales, P., and B. to coexist peacefully. There's the original "fab five," and now there's the onscreen alter-egos of the "fab five." As this episode points out, seeing double of Brooke has already stirred up more drama than such a tiny dot on the map can handle. Like one set of Siamese twins isn't tough enough, imagine doubles of everybody else wreaking havoc around Tree Hill. And besides, "fab ten" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Storylines are gonna get interesting, that's for sure. The newbies (if the rest of them are anything like method-acting Missy) will be portraying, as well as tracking, the pasts and presents of their predecessors. They will want to know everything they can about the early days of Naley, the state championship victory, Leyton's first kiss and Brooke's leopard-print bra. Before long, they'll know so much about the characters, they might as well become the characters. They may even find themselves living vicariously through the characters. And since there is not enough room for two ensemble casts in this town, one will have to go.

The originals will be replaced by younger, newer Hollywood hopefuls. I said it; it is out there. Burn me in effigy if you want, but hear me out first...

Since Mark has recently been toying with ways to wrap up OTH, he might have innocently stumbled upon a solution: create a movie spin-off of the show, modeled after Lucas's screenplay. Then throw in these fresh faces; let them simply relive the triumphs and tragedies of those who came before them. And you've got yourself a successful ending to the six-year run of our beloved One Tree Hill.

All right, go get the matches! After suggesting that the end is near, I probably deserve to be roasted on a spit!
