DON'T HATE ME :(
I know I know it's the shortest thing ever, but I really have to do homework, but it's almost the weekend which means lots of writing time, i just wanted to give you a feel of what my next few chapters will be like and such, thanks for reading, please comment :)
Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson, Rick Riordan does and goes on and puts it right on the cover just to brag about it! Jeez... the nerve of some people... :)
I didn’t know where we were, in the woods somewhere in New Jersey off the Hudson River. I knew we had to get as far away as possible from that bus because I knew that more monsters would be there and our smell was all over that scene. The gods all probably knew about this, I once again made myself look like a fool in front of you know, just the Olympian gods of Greece, but no big deal. I should’ve known we weren’t getting on that bus too easily. With two half-bloods and one being a child of the big three, and a satyr we were bound to meet many monsters on our quest, but in my world a day isn’t a day without fighting a monster. I knew Grover was still terrified; satyrs hated underground places like the Underworld, and three monsters from the Underworld, well that didn’t really brighten up his day either.
“Three Kindly Ones. All three at once.” His eyes were blood shot red and they looked like they were going to pop out of his sockets any second. Yes, I know fighting off two monsters and then leaving one to call even more monsters to kill us isn’t really a good way to start off a quest, but we can’t let one little thing stop us, that’s not the way I do things.
“Come on the farther we get the better!” I said urging them to keep going. I could do everything myself, but I’m not wasting my time doing anything for these guys, they need to learn to be strong.
“All our money was back there. Our food and clothes. Everything.” Percy told me, I wanted to say “like I didn’t know that, thank you captain obvious.” But I wasn’t in the mood to fight was anyone, I just wanted to find a place we could rest, and of course eat: yes I hear you growling stomach, be quiet. Besides, I didn’t need any complaining from Mr. Jackson, if hadn’t jumped in and took his sword and be all big and bold, I would’ve been fine on my own, I am Annabeth Chase aren’t I?
“Well, maybe if you hadn’t decided to jump into the fight-.”
“What did you want me to do? Let you get killed?”
“You didn’t need to protect me Percy. I would’ve been fine.” Grover finally lifted his head and looked at us, his eyes still redder than a tomato.
“Sliced like sandwich bread, but fine.” I heard his stomach grumble when he said bread, I didn’t need mind reading powers to know that he wanted some tin cans to munch on.
“Shut up, goat boy,” I told him letting my attitude break out.
“Tin cans… a perfectly good bag of tin cans.”
