Ash getting attacked by Voldamort? Sounds more like the idea for a Harry Potter/Pokemon crossover on fanfiction to me. That would be pretty cool if they're actually was a fanficition with that as the plotline.
Well, if you think about it, it could very definitely signify the fate between Ash and Pikachu. The two of them have overcome many obstacles together, and would do practically anything for each other.
Personally I think they show where is cheeks are located, or to make him look younger.

Make him look younger? If that were the case he'd look like a one year old. Honestly, even though the show is currently on it's 17th season, Ash is still 10 years old. He always has been and he always will be.
well i think its a conman kiddie anime thing. i have seen a few other anime for younger kids whear they do that. i think it means to show thier cheek in a way. hope i helped

It's a very common anime characteristic for young people. The mark is a bit indescribable, but I refer to it as a buff mark; sort of a facial symbol of activeness or high energy. A young person who works hard may have gotten a cut or some dirt on his face... thats how I see it.
um, manga/anime drawers sometimes put lines on cheeks sometimes to show embarrassment (not ash's case) and i think ash's might be freckles or something like that. its just something to add to his face to maybe make him look younger, or mischievous, etc.

he has these lines because Ash and Pekachu have been through so much together that they would die for each other, so sense Pekachu is an electric type and his tail is in a zigzag pattern Ash most likely got that pattern on his face during their most important battle.
