Later, Blake was getting really tired of his sister's pitiful coughing and mewling. He couldn't sleep with all her gagging. He gave her a nudge.
"Huh- *cough cough cough*" She mewed in a hoarse voice.
"Stop coughing! It's annoying!" Blake hissed.
"I *cough cough* can't!" Blazey coughed.
"I'm getting out of here where you can't annoy me!" Blake hissed in a whisper.
"I can't help it! *cough cough*" She hissed.
"Oh, by the way, you smell like crow-food." Blake said walking out of the den.
Blazey fell asleep once more. Blossom awoke to Blazey's coughing and heavy breathing.
"You okay, sweety?" Blossom asked worried.
Blazey shook her head slowly. Blossom gave her a soft lick on the head to cool her down. She noticed she was warm, and she seemed very, very sick.
"I'd better get you to see Ashley tomorrow." Blossom meowed.
Blazey nodded.
The next morning, Blake was in the tree looking at the Thunderpath. Huge monsters swerved by, and twolegs walked some sort of big, hairy, ugly thing. Brick saw Blake up in the tree. He climbed up to Blake.
"What are you doing, buddy?" He asked.
"Looking at the Thunderpath." Blake meowed.
"Pfft, I see a twoleg!" Brick hissed.
"I do too, but what is that big hairy thing the twoleg is walking?" Blake asked.
"Dogs!" Brick scowled. "Don't ever get close to one of those...things! They'll eat you up in a second!"
"How do you know?" Blake asked looking puzzled.
"I got attacked by one once!" Brick said smiling proud.
"Really? Did you die?" Blake asked.
"If I died, how would I be here?" Brick asked questioning his son's so called, 'smartness.'
"Oh, yeah." Blake said.
"Don't cross the Thunderpath ever, unless I say so, and I'm with you." Brick said looking Blake eye-to-eye.
"Yes, sir." Blake gulped.
"And," Brick advised. "Don't you EVER go to a twoleg nest! Not even near one!"
"Twoleg nest?" Blake asked.
"A place where a twoleg lives. The usually have dogs, or 'kittypets'.
"Kittypets?" Blake asked once more.
"Cats that live with twolegs." Brick replied.
"Oh." Blake mewed. "I'm gonna go find some fresh-kill."
"Okay. We need some." Brick said fallowing Blake down.
"Yeah." Blake said back.
"Want me to go with you to show you how to catch birds?" Brick offered.
"Sure!" Blake peeped. "I've always wanted to catch a caffinch!"
"Those birds are to easy to catch. But this will be your first time, so, I'll let you go for it." Brick meowed.
They headed to the den to let Blossom know where they were going.
"Hey Bloss. How's Blazey doing?" Brick asked.
"Not so good. I've asked Ashley to come, she said she'd be here soon." Blossom whispered.
"Okay. Me and Blake are going to go hunting. I'm gonna show him how to catch a bird!" Brick meowed.
"See you soon." Blossom said.
"By, daddy. *dramatic coughing*" Blazey said, though she could barely speak.
"No, you keep your voice shut young lady! You would hate if you lost it! I know you, how you LOVE to talk." Blossom said.
Brick and Blake wandered off into the woods. They spotted a bird cleaning it's feathers on a tree.
"Alright, Blake. Watch me." Brick whispered.
Brick crouched down. Making his paws light so couldn't hear him walk. He swooped up and dove at the bird, and caught it.
"Whoa!" Blake meowed in amazement.
"You'll learn how to do it soon too." Brick purred.
By sun-high, they had caught 3 birds and 4 mice. They came back to Blossom running out of the den and rushing to Brick.
She cried, "Blazey has blackcough!"
