Gianna's POV

After class, I lingered in the halls looking for Jordan. I looked down the hallway to my left. He wasn't there. Then somebody put a hand on my shoulder. I turned around. It was Jordan.
"Hey." I said. A small smile came across his face. I thought he hated me.
"This girl named Val told me what happened." He explained. I smiled. Val always fixed things for me. Then Adam came over to me.
"I am going to pick you up tonight for Jessica's birthday bash." He explained. I nodded and turned back to Jordan. But he wasn't there.
"Yeah. I will see you tonight." I said. Adam nodded. I had to get going to my next class which started in a few minutes.

I sat down in math class. Jordan was at gym class. I looked around the room. Everyone slumped in their chairs. Then Prince walked in. He looked tired but still happy. He slipped into the desk next to mine. I looked back at Jessica. She was looking straight at me. I quickly turned back around. I wondered what Jordan was doing right now. Why was he gone all of a sudden before?

For the rest of the class, I didn't lay an eye on Prince. I just kept thinking about Jordan. I sighed and looked out the window.
"Something wrong?" Prince asked. I turned to him and bit my lip.
"No." I said. Prince nodded and looked down at his book.

After class, I looked all around for Jordan. I walked down a hall and found him. But there was a girl holding his hand. It was Jessica.
"Hey. What's up?" Jordan asked. I stared at Jessica for a while. She had a taunting smirk on her face.
"What are you doing?" I asked Jessica. She let go of Jordan's hand and took a step forward so Jordan would not hear.
"If you get Prince, then I get Jordan. Everybody wins." She whispered. I sighed.
"I don't want Prince. I don't even like him. I don't even like being around him. He doesn't even know my name." I explained. Jessica nodded and smiled.
"You should tell him." Jessica said.
"No." I mumbled. I noticed she was looking over my shoulder. I turned around, only to find Prince. My face fell. Jordan looked at Jessica.
"Let's go." Jordan said, grabbing Jessica hand.

I got ready for Jessica's party. I was only going because Adam asked me to go with him. I put on black mini-dress. I put my hair up and slid on a pair of black converse. I grabbed Jessica's gift and went downstairs. The doorbell rang when I was at the last step.
"Bye mom!" I called.
"Bye!" She called from the kitchen.

Me and Adam got to Jessica's party right on time. Adam looked really cute tonight. Then somebody tapped my shoulder. I turned around and saw Jessica.
"Hey." She said. She looked realy pretty. She was wearing a red dress and black earrings.
"Happy bithday." I said. I handed her the gift and started to walk away. But she grabbed my arm.
"I am sorry about today." She explained. She pulled me into the corner.
"I was mad about Prince and you." She mumbled.
"There is nothing going on between us. I don't like him." I said. Jessica nodded.
"How about we just start over. If we become friends, then we will be so popular together. We could like, rule the school!" She squealed.
"Really?" I asked. She nodded.
"We will be best friends and have the school in our hands!" She explained. I nodded.
"Deal." I whispered. She smiled and took my hand.
