So, yeah. I know these three things seem totally weird when i say i wanna put'em together, and to be honest, i can see why. I mean, what the heck am i going on about? Why am i asking myself questions i know the answer to? When will i GET TO THE POINT!? Well, right now actually. Jeez, no need to rush me. Chillax.
Ahem.
Anyway, this article will break down each aspect of the Rp and how each of the above series influence it. So first, i'll start with the setting!
SETTING: Earth, but not our Earth. Not geographically, at least. You see, on this Earth there are only four continents. The Northern Continent, which is the most tropical of the four, The Eastern Continent, which is the most technologically advanced of the four, the Southern Continent, which is like a huge Tundra Biome, or in simpler terms freaking cold, and the Western Continent, full of Deserts and Plains. I'll go into more detail about each one later, but that should give you a basic idea of them.
Each continent is divided and controlled by four Kingdoms, totalling to only 16 big Kingdoms on Earth. There are small Kingdoms and villages everywhere for sure, but they either align with one of the sixteen Kingdoms or live in really remote areas. These Kingdoms have traditional Monarchy styled Governments, of course, and the social structure comes complete with Nobles, Peasants, and middle classers. However, this is where my Greek comes in!
The basic culture, from style of dress to religious beliefs, is all Greek. The Gods and Titans and plethora of mythical creatures all are very real though, and this is because when you look at the diversity of places and monsters and things to do in Greek Mythology, it fits SO WELL with the whole "Let's Adventure" thing that the Pokemon MD games and FT go for. Plus, the Greek Gods being a thing adds a whole new layer of possibilities. I think it works great!
GUILDS & "MAGIC": Next, the Elephant in the room. Well, first, i'll tell you how and why Guilds in this world are a thing. So, like i said, the world is ruled by Kings and Queens, right? Well, in a Kingdom, you need income and a military. While there is a formal military, the Guilds have a unique purpose. To Explore. Being an Explorer grants you access to places all over the world that any old citizen could never reach. They find lost treasures, explore uncharted lands, slay monsters, basis Adventurer Hero stuff. Another defining thing about Shonen Anime and Greek Mythology. They freaking love Heroes. Not like us rebels nowadays that only appreciate the Sasuke's and Shadow The Hedgehog's. Nope, they are Naruto and Sonic for life.
People from all over the world send their requests to Guilds, who then let their members accept them and claim the rewards. A cut of each Reward goes back to the Kingdom, but they pay to keep the Guild up and running in return. Everyone wins. The Military only fight direct enemies of the Kingdom, everything else goes to the guilds.
Guilds are all headed by Guild Masters. In order to qualify for Guild Master status, you have to be a Platinum Class Adventurer. That basically means you've proven yourself to be on a level that very few people can obtain through rising in the ranks of the first guild you were in.
Adventure Ranks and Quests share the same system. Bronze is the rookie class, Silver is the intermediate class, Gold is Master Class, and Platinum is a class only given to near suicidal missions and Adventurers capable of accomplishing them.
Now, there's Magic too, hence the Fairy Tail aspects. Now, Magic is the physical manifestation of two things. The User's Mana, or Spiritual Energy, and their Imagination. This makes it so that no two people are usually born with the exact same Magic unless it's a strong family trait. Your Mana is categorized via it's type. there's "Strike" mana, which specializes in direct offense and defense, "Warp" mana, which manipulates the space around it to it's advantage or creates a new space entirely, and lastly "Vital" mana, which directly controls the properties of something.
An example of Strike mana could be having Fire based Magic, or having Super Speed. For Warp, being able to create sentient life forms or manipulate time. For Vital, healing or being able to make things stronger and larger.
I think that covers the basic idea of the Rp! What do you guys think?
Ahem.
