From being a cartoon to becoming a real life version of herself in NYC.

Ever wonder what it would be like if your favourite Disney princess got a taste of our world for the first time and have a Snow White/Sleeping Beauty/Cinderella plot added to the plot well that is what Enchanted does a romantic/fantasy/musical/comedy combining 2D animation & live Action. The story kicks off in old school Disney animation where a cartoon princess named Giselle(Amy Adams)is banished by an evil queen to modern day New York City in human form(still Adams as she is coming out of a manhole in Times Square) and she meets and falls in love with a handsome Attorney named Robert Philip(Grey’s Patrick Dempsey) who doesn’t take romance any seriously as he doesn’t believe in magic or romance. But when Giselle enchants him and falls in love she has to choose between her Prince or Robert??. Whats a girl to do at a time like this.

Packed with an all star cast from Dempsey to Adams to Sarandon to Spall to Menzel etc , great score from the legendary Alan Menken & Stephen Schwartz(who also did the score for HBOND & Pocahontas) ,narration done by another legend Julie Andrews, brilliant chemistry between Adams and Dempsey. The movie was nominated for 3 Oscars and won a Saturn award Enchanted will make Walt Disney proud.

Best Scene

The ballroom scene & the chemistry between Amy Adams & Patrick Dempsey was awesome as well as the music and the animation for 10 mins.

Worst scene

Not enough screen time for Susan Sarandon

A lot of errors can be spotted which makes the film unrealistic.

If you like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Who framed roger rabbit, Kate & Leopold, or any other Disney movie that Enchanted mocks then you will love this.

LisaForde Of course it does make sense its just that Enchanted was 100 % better than Sleeping Beauty.Ok the reason why I don’t like Sleeping Beauty is because there is no dialogue whatsoever and I bet you that there are more people out there in the world that don’t like this Sleeping Beauty movie either ,sure I love Enchanted even though it’s a pure rip off of every single Disney movie (well almost) but still its better. If you want to keep on arguing over Enchanted then try and stop doing it because seriously its getting on my nerves. I don’t mean to be sarcastic with you but seriously enough is enough.

Sure its silly in a way but COME ON its just a godamn movie about a cartoon princess falling for that dude from Greys Anatomy and its twisted and mocks other princess movies like Shrek. So bloody what I can love this movie as long as im on this spot. Personally I rather him than Edward because his not vain, he sees life the way it is, his not a romantic man that will sweep you off your feet, he had his heart broken so many times and he has to look after his only daughter all by himself which is tough for a single parent.

Although its my favourite movie that you can either love or hate it but my only downside to this was the amount of mistakes that I noticed and here is some of them that I spotted in the movie.

#1 When Robert is in the taxi with Morgan he gives her a book and reads out some women that are the greatest women in history. But when he says Marie Curie he says madam curie instead of Marie Curie. This is got to do with Dempsey’s difficulty with his dyslexia as he suffers from this disability.

Love this dress

Im sorry I took the idea off of Takuya so here is my ups and downs of Giselle as I watched this on TV last night on BBC THREE and although I have seen it time and time again I actually liked it so enjoy.

Another article now and this time I am talking about Enchanted and Snow White.

Snow White& Giselle

Both of these characters are sweet and they are friends with animals. They both take a poison apple and go into a deep sleep and they have to be awaken by true love’s kiss.

Scenes that Enchanted mocks

*The wicked Queen aka Susan Sarandon’s Queen Narissa is similar to the wicked Queen in Snow White as they both turn into old hags and give the herione of the movie a poison apple that will make them go into a deep sleep.

* True love’s kiss scene is kinda similar minus the dwarves.

* When Giselle is cleaning Robert’s apartment she summons animals to clean up his apartment and sings a song that is like Whistle While You Work entitled Happy Working Song.

* Giselle & Snow White are both sweet and childish.

*Edward & Giselle riding off in the sunset.
