Self-Defense, a Pep Talk, and Family Fun Night

With the weekend in full swing, Laura successfully completed the latter part of her training and confidence boost, which consisted of defending herself physically in martial arts-style and a very strong pep talk from her father and uncles. George opened it by saying, "The time has come for you to shine in this tournament, Laura." John continued, "No matter what those bullies or anyone else may say about you, remember that you can succeed even in big events like this." Paul and Ringo added, "Do your best and give it your all, love." "And, most importantly, we believe in you!", concluded George. This made Laura smile, and she replied, "Aw! Thank you all so, so much! Yes, I know I can do this!" They then had a big group hug. Laura asked, "Would you like to watch me in the tournament?" George replied, "Certainly, darling." John, Paul, and Ringo nodded in agreement. "Wonderful!", remarked Laura. "Indeed! Now that your training is done, let's celebrate by turning this night into 'Family Fun Night'.", added George. Ringo said, "That's a jolly good idea, Georgie!" And so, George started preparing their snacks and drinks. These are popcorn tossed in caramel, chocolate, and sprinkles, chicken nuggets with brown sauce, toasted crumpets with hazelnut spread and strawberry jam, and mixed berry smoothies. Laura also did her workout routine. Afterwards, when everything was ready, the group got together in the living room and watched a movie. Laura remarked as they munched on the snacks, "Yum! This is really delicious, daddy George." Paul added, "It sure is!" George smiled and responded, "Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying them." Laura and the other Beatles smiled back. They then continued having a lovely time with each other.

It was a pleasant-faced man with wavy dark hair, holding a number of records in his arms. The lads had been right to think he was young - he didn't appear to be much older than twenty - but there was a professional air about him all the same. The four bandmates wondered who he was, but the store manager asked the question first. "And who are you?"
The young man shifted his records to one arm and pulled out a card from inside his suit. "Brian Epstein, record shop owner and music manager." He handed his card to the store manager, who examined it with a slight frown. "I'd rather you didn't arrest...

A lot of you have written an article like this already. Now it's my turn. I'd have done it a little sooner, but I wanted to finish The Beast Of Bodmin Moor before I wrote another kind of article. So here goes.
I wish I could say that my first word was "Beatles" and my baby self would squeal with delight every time my father played one of their songs, but that wasn't how it happened. Growing up, I knew there was a band called the Beatles, but not much more than that. My dad is into classic rock music and so it was impossible that there wouldn't be any Beatles at all around. Actually, my earliest...

The Beatles stared at the picture of the horrible creature. Finally, Paul spoke. "The Beast of Bodmin Moor? What's that got to do with any of this?"
"Listen." John turned the book so he could see the words better, and began to read aloud.
"'The Beast of Bodmin Moor is a malevolent cougar-like creature that is thought to have originated from Cornwall, England. He has a brown body, pointy ears, talon-like claws, and long, straight-edged fangs. This monster has the ability to suck the soul out of his unsuspecting victims by breathing through his nostrils, which in turn absorbs it, causing the Beast...

That night was the most thrilling night of my life. Ringo told me I could stay and have dinner with him, and then after dinner, he had a concert to do, and he said I could stay backstage and watch! And I did, and he was just amazing! His songs, even without the other three Beatles there, were so beautiful! I couldn't believe that my friends didn't listen to him, at least!
I slept on the sofa in Ringo's hotel suite that night, and the next day, I decided I could ask him to take me to George. That was different from asking Paul to help me find Ringo, because Ringo knew about my plan. I had decided...

I collapsed into the grass at the top of the hill, near the man who could only be Paul McCartney. I was so out of breath from running and from the sheer delight of seeing him that I couldn't speak.
Paul must've heard me, though. He stopped playing and looked around at me. "Oh, hello," he said, with this adorable puzzled look in his eyes. "Who are you?"
At least, I think that's what he said. His accent was so strong I couldn't be sure. It was also so beautiful that it was all I could do to actually pay attention to what he was saying and not just bask in the melodious tones. He kept looking at...

From a young age, I had always dreamed of going to England, especially after learning over half of my favorite bands originated there, including the Beatles. Being from a rural area in the United States, I never thought I would be lucky enough to afford such a trip. One day, it happened. Because I made all A's during the second semester of college, I was able to go. My parents managed to raise enough money for my trip. I was a bit nervous, since I had never been out of the United States before, but I was also excited. Little did I know, I would discover something that I didn't know about myself....

Hello, fellow Beatles fans. Roldan13 here, and I am writing on how I became a Beatles fan. Before we begin, I'd like to give a shout out to ChiliPepperLuv, WIBBILY_WOBBLY, and RocknRollSoul60. Their articles are amazing, and if you haven't done so already, I suggest reading them. Now that I have that off my chest, I'll begin the story of how I got into the Beatles.

I've only been a fan of the Beatles since January. However, I feel like I know all about them because of all the research I've done on them. Anyway, you may want a box of tissues for this part. It's kinda sad. After losing both of...
