Last, but certainly not least is Moana. Next article, I'll review the Revival Era as a whole, but I will review this one first. Let's go through this like I always do.

Now, I've only watched this movie twice, because I haven't been able to purchase the DVD to watch it yet. But I have watched it at a friend's house a few days ago, so I have a fresh memory on it.

First Impression

Since it was first announced that there would be another Disney Princess movie, I was excited. The closer to the movie it got, the more excited I became, and when I finally did watch the movie, I loved it. It was really worth watching!

Characters

So, the movie mainly focuses on Moana and Maui, who were amazing in my opinion. But the movie did have other amazing characters, however. I really loved Tala and Moana's parent. Even the pets were cool!

However, the only ones I loved were the central characters, Moana and Maui. I felt they were both great characters and I fell in love with them. I mean, I usually can't stand overly cocky people, but since it was presented as a flaw of Maui's I actually tolerated it. Moana was such a strong character as well.

Plot

I really liked the plot, which strongly centered around Moana trying to discover who she is, and her trying to return the heart of Te Fiti, which was lost during a battle between Maui and Te Fiti years ago. I found the story to be great, and the adventure was great.

The only problem I had, and I probably have an unpopular opinion on this, but I felt like it dragged at times. I don't really think the plot was too slow, just there were scenes that were. But overall, I really liked the plot and I cried. To be honest, I didn't expect to, but just like every Disney movie, it found a way to bring tears to my eyes.

Music

Oh my god the music was just so great, I can't even describe how amazing it was in words. This movie had some fast songs ("You're Welcome") and some rather slow songs (I Am Moana). But nevertheless. These songs were so strong and really gave me the Disney feel.

The voice cast all had amazing voices, I mean, who knew Dwayne Johnson could sing?

Overall Message

I really felt the overall message was really good. When Moana discovered who she was, she was able to balance her responsibilities with her dream, and I think that is important. Especially since it's really rare for that to happen. She discovered she was a chief of the island and a navigator, which I really liked.

Critical Reviews

This movie was really well recieved by audiences, though I actually expected it to be more popular. I'm not complaining- I actually think the movie got the love it deserved.

I am, however quite sick of it getting compared to a Frozen, like everything else is. Can't everyone just forget about Frozen, and focus how good this movie is, without being compared to anything? I think I'm especially annoyed because both are extremely close on my list, and it took me forever to decide which one I love more. But even more, I'm just so sick of everyone comparing every new movie to Frozen.

Connections

I actually found Moana to be an extremely relatable character, and I think the lesson in general is great in society. There are many times where a person has to balance what they want to do, and their dreams with their responsibilities. A lot of times, it justt doesn't work out, but Moana always made time for her family, duties, and by the end of the movie, he hobby (sailing). I just think that can be connected very well in today's society.

What I would have done differently

I would have probably just made some of the scenes less dragging. Other than that it was good.

Overall Opinion

Definitely a really good movie. It was actually my fourth favorite movie in the era almost tied with Frozen which is my fifth favorite. I think this movie was great, and I really think it is such a noteworthy movie.

Next is the review of the overall revival era.

Just so you know my opinion has changed a little, but not too much, so I hope you enjoy! But, I saw a lot of people doing this, so I thought "why not?" This is my slightly updated opinion on things, so I know I mentioned how I ranked it when I did individual movie reviews. But my whole top three has changed, so just to clear that up!

Also I will not be doing the new Winnie the Pooh, as I have not see it and I hate to judge something I cannot see.

7. The Princess and the Frog

Okay, before you get mad, let me explain. There are points of this movie I do like. I absolutely adored the characters...

It's probably not difficult to figure out the meaning behind the song "Where You Are," but you might be surprised by the careful planning that went into its lyrics. By exploring multiple perspectives, it foreshadows more than you might think. So let's dive in and see how this song works as the first musical number of the movie.

Like its name, Disney Revival was completely a revival as well, from their flopped movies before the era. The era was begin in 2009 with link until the latest one link in 2016.

On this article I want to share my list of Favorite Disney Revival Era movies (I don’t include Winnie the Pooh since I haven’t seen it and I actually don’t really consider it as revival movie as well).

Anyway, here you go! Started from the least until the most favorite:

7. The Princess and the Frog

This is the first Disney Revival Era movie, and the only one who still use the hand-drawn animation, but the last...

Moana is a 2016 Disney animated film that has Dwayne Johnson as 1 of this film's main characters.

The Plot:

Moana is a young girl who is destined to team up with a demigod named Maui to save her island. However Maui does not want to help Moana. It's up to Moana to get Maui to help her defeat a lava antagonist.

I wasn't expecting that much from Moana's plot, but it turned out to be a more interesting film than I expected. The early scenes of the film were not that interesting, but the film got better later on. The storyline involving the lava antagonist is surprising.

The Characters:

Moana is...

I honestly don't get why Bolt is here. The Revival Era started in 2009, and Bolt came out in 2008.
I honestly don't get why Bolt is here. The Revival Era started in 2009, and Bolt came out in 2008.
This may seem like a weird idea for an article, but let me explain.
Last week, I wrote an article about my favorite Disney animated movies from the Revival Era. The reason I wrote that article is because ApplesauceDoctr also wrote an article like that, so I wanted to write down my version. However, while I wrote down almost everything I wanted to tell about the movies I listed off, there are things I forgot to write down, or didn't have enough space left to write them down. In fact, it was so long that, at the end, it just cuts off without even finishing the sentence.

I'm writing this article...

A few days ago, I read an article by Applesauce Doctr, in which she counted down her favorite Disney movies from the Revival Era. I loved the article, and idea behind the article intrigued me so much that I decided to write down my version.

Over a year ago, I wrote an article where I counted down my top 10 favorite Disney movies, but because I had so much to talk about each of them, I had to cut my article in half.
The reason I'm telling this is because a good chunk of the Disney movies from the Revival Era are in my favorites, and I already explained why I love them, as a result, most of...

Big Hero 6 is a popular Disney film. The film is about Hiro Hamada who teams up with 4 friends and a robot to save the world. This review is about discussing the film's bad and good qualities.

The Cons:

Not enough screen time for some characters: The comedy relief character (Baymax) kind of hogs screen time away from characters who deserved more time to shine including Honey Lemon and Mr. Krei.

Alan Tudyk deserves a bigger role: I'm tired of Mr. Tudyk playing decoy villains and secondary villains. He should be playing the main villain but Disney keeps having him be secondary antagonists in...
