Dear Amber,
I'm a fifteen year-old boy who has never been kissed. Would it be wrong to pay someone to kiss me? There's a girl in my class who says she'll kiss me for $50. She'll even let me take pictures to show my friends. We haven’t discussed the details yet – open mouth or closed mouth, tongue or no tongue, etc. And money isn’t an issue; I receive a very generous allowance. It’s just that my mom told me that my first kiss should be “special” and I usually do what my mom says. I just want to get it over with. Should I pay my classmate to kiss me or hold out for something “special”?

Mom's right -- your first kiss should be "special." At 15 it's nice to know that she likes you for you. So don't waste your money on the school girl who's looking to charge you $50 -- she probably likes you enough to do it for free anyway. Save your allowance for when you're older and your tastes have gotten more ...extravagant.

I’m a twenty something guy living in Chi-Town. I go out a couple times a week and meet a lot of people. The only problem: I don’t know how to follow up. I can get a girl’s number easy, but how long do I wait before I contact her? I’ve heard that I should wait at least three days before I call, but last time I met someone, I played it too cool and waited a month. When I did call she didn’t remember who I was. I met a cute girl at a party last night. How long should I wait before I call? Or should I just text? Do texts count? And what about facebook?

Dear Confused,
Sounds to me like you're over-thinking this like crazy. If you met a cute girl, and you like the cute girl, then you should contact her. Forget the three day rule. Just phone her, or text, or facebook, or e-mail -- it doesn't matter that much. Get in touch and see if she has any interest. Then you can start over- thinking the date: Drinks? Coffee? Dinner? Movie?
