I mean for a crime other than Scar's. Fanfiction is fun fun fun! But the bottom line is; in movie making if anything gets complicated, it would be somewhat or extremely directly explained - NOT hidden behind hints.

Even the director of TLK2 says "the seeds of it are in the first film". (In the Making of documentary "Proud of Simba's Pride".) And the last time I checked, no crimes happen in that film apart from the one committed by Scar. And because the second film did not specify any crime other than the one Scar committed, that's the only one happened.

To back up this even more... There is NO need for a new crime to explain anything in TLK2.
Seriously.

If you bother to give any serious thoughts to the depth and number of the emotional wounds and traumas Scar had given to Simba, and the fact that Simba was not mentally a grown up when he reclaimed the throne, and how Simba learned the truth about Scar probably a very short time before he met Zira & co. - there lies more than enough reason for him to exile Zira and along with her everyone else who...

I really wonder how do people see "so many plot holes"? Because I can see ONLY TWO and even they are relative.

A plot hole is something that causes the plot or a part of the plot to not add up or to not make sense. These two movies don't have such, as all you have to do is pay attention to what is said and how it is said, and at some points to use common sense.

1.) The cub's design and the ceremony.

But officially that is not a plot hole. As Disney has made it official it is "Fluffy"/Kiara in the movie universe. As in introduced no one else in the movies - basically we just have to accept that in the movie universe the cub in the end of the first film is Kiara and they just changed its design and forgot how the ceremony went. I mean, we don't have to accept it but whether we do or don't, the fact remains that there never was anyone but Kiara in the movie universe; because "Fluffy" isn't a real name and "Fluffy" has never been given a gender in its own film and SP is in the only official movie sequel and it introduces only Kiara without any references to any siblings.

In the original script (which was started 2-3 years before Simba's Pride was released) there were no Outlanders. It was only Zira (then known as Bianca), Kovu, and the three hyenas. In this script, Kovu was Scar's son. This was changed because if Zira was Scar's mate, then why would she team up with the hyenas, who killed Scar. They also had to change the fact of Kovu being Scar's son because that would be bordering on incest. (It would make Kovu and Kiara second cousins.)

Kathleen Turner was originally going to be the voice of Zira. Christian Slater was going to do the voice of Adult Kovu.

Zira's original death, which is a special feature in the DVD version, features the same dialogue as the scene which ended up in the film until Kiara says "I'll help you." Kiara lands on a rock where she is safe and tries to help Zira, who is in danger of falling in to the flooded canyon, but Zira, with a twisted grin, replies "No. Never." and releases her claws from the cliff, falling into the swollen river below and committing suicide.

Princess Kairia, was engrossed as she listened to her grandfather the former king Simba, as he told her a story of one of the adventures he had with her grandmother when he was a cub. "There Grandma and I were cornered by the hyenas they were moving in for the kill. I did the only thing I could think of, I roared at them." Kairia looked at her grandfather impressed and asked him "Wow Grandpa did that scare them off?" Simba laughed heartily at his granddaughter and said "No, dear one I'm afraid it didn't." Kairia asked confused "But Grandpa if it didn't work then how did you and grandma get away?" Simba laid down next to Kairia and replied "Well, after my roar didn't scare them off I truly thought me and grandma were done for then my father came to our rescue. It was very scary but also exciting, Dad made those hyenas run to the ends of the earth" Kairia laughed and said "Grandpa that was a great story, can you tell me another one?" Just as Simba was getting ready to tell his granddaughter another story Kiara his daughter and reigning queen of the pride lands found them sitting on the summit of Pride Rock, "Kairia,Father there you two are, I've been looking every where for you both,...

The sun was shining, the savannah was buzzing with the talk of a new cub. Its name was Kopa, and it was Simba and Nala’s first cub. The cub was a male, and he was very healthy. Simba and Nala were very happy. Nala called him “her little angel”, and Simba smiled and said “you will be king one day.”

The next day was a hot, sunny day in the pride lands. All the animals gathered around pride rock for the dedication of little Kopa. Rafiki smiled, as he blessed the young cub. Kopa looked up, and smiled, just as his father had so many years ago. Rafiki held up the small lion, and said proudly, “it is time”, as he showed all of the pride lands the soon to be king.

A few weeks later, Kopa was talking, and acting like any normal cub of his age. Simba was proud, but also very protective, because of what he went through as a cub. The whole pride was very happy, especially Nala, who would almost never let him out of her site. Yes, they were happy, but the happiness would not last.

Did the Disney studio steal Kimba The White Lion and rework it as their 'original story', The Lion King? They certainly give that impression with their corporate stance ('we never heard of Tezuka nor Kimba until after The Lion King was released'). And why would they have filed suit to try to prevent the showing of Tezuka Productions' 1997 Jungle Emperor Leo movie at the 1998 Toronto FantAsia Film Festival? (Jungle Emperor was the original title for Kimba The White Lion.) It seems quite simple; Kimba had been kept out of sight in North America for 20 years by that time.

I'm sure you've heard how every character in The Lion King has a matching character in Kimba, all the way down to the level of both having a sage mandrill mis-identified as a baboon.

The shame of the matter is that the Disney company is sticking to their official line --that their people never heard of Kimba before The Lion King was released-- even in the face of logic and evidence. As Robin Pen pointed out, if we were to take their statement at face value, it actually means they were stupid and irresponsible. But more than that, many examples say just the opposite of the Disney statement....
