Guys, it's been a year since I updated. I know how you feel, loving a story and..THE AUTHOR DOESN'T FINISH IT!!!! WAHHH SOO SORRY!
~*Onto the story*~
"C'mon, Cass! You can do better than this!" Brick said to his 13 year old daughter, who was furiously punching the tether ball in the back yard (AN: Yes, she uses a tether ball to practice her punching). Cassie was beginning to get a little frustrated. She had been practicing for two hours straight, and she was getting a little tired, not to mention hungry. But then again, Cassie was always hungry. Despite that fact, she was rather slim. Cassie was the sporty type of girl. She played basketball for her school's team, The Townsville Titans. (AN: Cliched', I know.) But she was smart, and kept good grades. She had a knack for getting into trouble, but other than that, she was a good kid.
"Dad I'm tired." Cassie said, panting slightly. Her orange hair was pulled back into a ponytail, and she was still sweating. Even having her hair up didn't help the heat matters.
"Okay, Cassie, I guess you can rest up for a while. You're improving. You know I only teach you b-"
"Because you want me to be a strong fighter. I know dad, I know." Cassie said, rolling her red eyes.
"Right." Brick smiled.
"CASSIE! CASSIECASSIECASSIE!" Renee ran up to her, her black hair flying back in the wind. Unlike her mother, Renee was completely and irrationally girly. Lipgloss, clothes, Cosmo magazine, you named it, she loved it. She was also extremely hyper. Beatrice was with her, but Beatrice preferred to be called Cheyenne (her middle name).
Cassie strode up to her cousin, brushing her bangs out of her face.
"What's up?" she asked.
"Well, Cheyenne and I wanted to know if you wanted to go to the spa with us and Aunt Bubbles."
Cassie's pupils shrunk. The spa? Her? No freakin' way.
"Um no. You know I hate that stuff."
"Aww, Cass, you're 13! Girls our age are into that stuff!" Cheyenne said.
"Well not me. Can we go to the mall or something?" she asked. That was one girly thing Cassie liked doing. Despite her tomboyishness, Cassie loved to shop.
"Hey, sounds good to me." Renee said, "You cool with this, Chey?"
"Yep." Cheyenne shrugged. "Let's go ask mom." The thing about living in a house of 6 people, they could ask any one of them to do something, and if they approved, it was okay by everyone else.
The three girls ran into the house, and Cheyenne went to Bubbles.
"Mom, is it okay if we go to the mall instead?" she asked hopefully. Bubbles looked at her.
"I thought you wanted to go to the spa..?"
"No, Cassie don't like stuff like that." Renee said.
"Heh...Sorry," said Cassie sheepishly.
Bubbles smiled. She had always remained cheerful.
"It's fine; I'll ask Blossom to go with me instead. And I'll try to get Buttercup to come; although I doubt that'll happen." said Bubbles. Cassie smirked at the thought of her aunt Buttercup being dragged to a spa.
"Okay, you guys, let's move!" said Renee excitedly.
"Wait, where are you three going?" Butch asked, walking into the living room. The three girls groaned. They wanted to go NOW.
"Shopping," Cheyenne answered, bluntly. She was sweet like her mom, but sarcastic at times. She was very blunt sometimes. Most people considered it rude; Cheyenne considered it having the balls to say what others didn't.
"Okay, that's fine then. You girls go on. I'll inform everyone else where you're going to be." Butch said.
"Thanks dad!" Renee said. Then the three girls flew off, meanwhile, Bubbles and Blossom tried to drag Buttercup to the spa, as Boomer, Brick, and Butch stood on standby, laughing hysterically.
At the mall, Cassie, Cheyenne, and Renee walked through the long hallways. Renee and Cheyenne got a few things from Claire's; Cassie got a few things from Pac Sun.
"So, where to now?" Cheyenne asked.
"How about Chick-Fil-A?" Cassie replied. Her cousins laughed, they knew Cassie loved food.
"Alright, let's go eat." said Renee. The three girls headed to the built in restaurant and ordered. As they took their seats, they noticed three boys from their school, Townsville Middle. Like them, these boys had powers, but instead of using them for good, they were evil. The girls often had to fight them, for they were quite mean at times. They got along in school (sometimes, but rarely) and faught in the city. The boys' names were Blix, Burn, and Braxton. The girls secretly fancied them; but at the same time, they didn't like the boys as people. They were rude, and not to mention, annoying. Cassie liked Braxton, Cheyenne liked Burn, and Renee liked Blix. But the girls weren't going to say anything.
Apparently, the boys noticed them as well, because they made their way over to the girls' table.
"Oh God, here we go," Cheyenne mumbled, slurping her Sierra Mist. Cassie simply glared at the ground, at her red tennis shoes. As much as she liked Braxton, he wasn't worth fighting with every time she saw him. Renee, on the other hand, was incredibly naive at times, and loved every chance of seeing Blix.
"Hey chicks, how's it hangin'?" Braxton asked, but he was looking at Cassie. Cassie's head snapped up.
"Fine." she replied, trying to sound stern, but in reality, she wanted to hug him. But that wasn't very likely.
"You're lookin' good, Cassie babe." Braxton said. Cassie blushed at this comment. Renee and Cheyenne simply glared at her. They all agreed not to show any attraction to the boys; but let's face it, hiding your attraction from a bad boy is quite hard.
"I'm not your 'babe.' Now get outta here." Cassie replied, forcing her red eyes to pierce his deep pink ones. (Hint hint! Who are the boys mothers? I think you all know!) They weren't really what you could call pink, but they weren't red, either. It was a pink that bordered on red, but nobody teased him about it. Braxton beat up anyone who did.
"Why should we leave? It is a public place." said Blix, making Renee's heart soar at his voice.
Cheyenne noticed this and nudged Renee with the toe of her neon blue converse. Renee looked at her.
"What?" she asked.
"Remember what we talked about?" Chey half-whispered, eyeing the boys out of the corner of her ocean colored eyes.
"Right. What do you want?"
"The same as usual: To cause trouble." Cassie answered, folding her arms over her red tank top.
"We don't always cause trouble." Burn replied, narrowing his blue eyes at Cass, looking for a sign that he intimidated her. But, much to his dismay, Cassie didn't so much as blink. Instead, she kept her piercing glare on him.
"Yeah, ya do," Chey replied, hating that they were evil. If only, if only...
Renee's cell phone rang.
"Yeah? Okay, okay. We'll be there in 5. Alright. Bye."
"Girls, we gotta go. There's a monster attacking Townsville, on the other side."
Cassie was glad to have an excuse to leave, but also sad. She loved seeing Braxton; as much as she hated to admit it.
"Aww man, so soon?" Blix asked, actually sounding like he cared, earning a punch in the arm from Burn.
"Oww! What'd I do?" Blix asked, rubbing his arm.
"We can't show attraction, or care for them. Remember what our mothers told us?" Burn whispered, "They're evil. Their just like their parents, mom said. Screwing up their plans."
"Right," Blix said quietly. Braxton looked at his brothers. He hated that these girls were a threat to them, but the boys couldn't deny their feelings for them. And Cassie...that hot headed temper of hers was really cute.
"Okay. Catch you girls later," he said, grabbing Cassie's butt as she turned to walk away, earning him a punch in the face from the red-eyed girl. He smirked, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. He loved getting her riled up, just so he could see her mad. Cassie was feisty; exactly what he liked in a girl. The boys watched them fly away, thinking that maybe, even if they didn't want to admit it, a relationship may one day be a possibility. Even if their mothers didn't like the girl's parents.
