This is more to do with the T.V show than the books. This is not carried on from anything, it's just a made up thing. So Stefan has left Mystic Falls without saying good bye to Elena. Elena is still upset a month after Stefan has left. Elena knows that Damon knew Stefan was leaving and is angry at him for not forcing him to stay. She has seen Damon around but has not spoken to him preoperly until this point.
I know this thing I've written is a bit sexy and steamy, but I wanted to give the Vampire Diaries readers and viewers the thing that I'm sure they've been looking for. Enjoy :D

I sat there in Pairs in one of the many houses Stefan and I owned in Europe. It was weird not having him here to yell at me when I left women wondering mindlessly around the house before I kicked them out. "Wait...so your saying...that I'm not...but...how?" Asked Damon thoughtfully
Mean while Stefan felt as if he won the lottery, considering what Damon most have done to him over the years he deserved it.
"I think it would explain a lot about you, Damon." Stefan said, “Why we look nothing, at all, alike. Or why MY parents named me after St. Stephan. And maybe-"
"Are you sure, Stefan? Are you absolutely sure?"
"Damon, DNA. tests don't lie."

"How…? Oh, I found some of your hair in a tree. Then I took it to a DNA specialist ,who just happened to be a vampire, and I got mailed...

I laid back on my bed, shoving my palms into my eyes, to try and stop the tears. Despite my efforts, tears seaped through and soaked my hair and pillow.

Just a week ago, Elena was laying beside me, bringing light into my old battered room. She was running her fingers though my hair, telling me how everything would work out. She was kissing me with her soft lips telling me how I was the only one she loved.

I believed her, but somewhere deep inside me, I knew it was all a lie. Nothing worked out, I wasn't the one she really and truely loved.

"What did you do to them Klaus?" Damon shouted furiously.

"Only what needed to be done. My dearest Katherine gave an order that was not followed." Klaus replied looking at me.

"That's for me to know and you to find out my dear. Here is a note from Katherine."

Bonnie's P.O.V

"Bonnie? Are you okay? Did you see something?" Elena questioned me

"What? Oh, um, no sorry I zoned."

"Can't." I sighed. "My Uncle is down for my birthday. He's going to be gone so he stopped by early."

"I'm sorry." I giggled. "You'll still drive me home though right?" I asked as I perched myself on the doorway of my last class for the day.
"Of course." Karson smiled and leaned down to kiss me quickly then turning toward his own class.

As we neared the porch, a voice called my name from behind us. We span around and saw Stefan at the end of the pathway.
“Bonnie, why don’t you go inside?” I said, and she nodded in agreement. Soon I was standing with Stefan and he looked into my eyes.
“Elena, what Damon said…about not wanting to see you risking your life…I agree. I can’t watch you do that to yourself either. I love you, even though it’s clear you no longer feel the same way towards me as you did before. So, while this idea is still in your mind, I won’t be around to help out with anything. Edward sped through the trees swiftly, the wind cool and pleasant on his face. Soon he was in Mt. Rainier National Park.
