It starts out in Kayla's POV then changes to Mitchell's. Hope you enoy.

“No. Absolutely not.”
Charlie began a rant about how I was too young, Edward was too old and neither of us knew what we were getting ourselves into. All I could do was stare at Edward.
Don’t listen to him. Edward thought. Think for yourself.
“And you have only been dating for a year, it’s not like-”
I don’t know, I don’t know.
You love me, right?
You know I do.
And you don’t want anyone else?
No one.
Then marry me.
“Are you two having a mind conversation?” Charlie shook my arm. “Are you not listening to anything I’m saying?”
“Quiet!” I barked at him. “I’m trying to think!”
I wanted to marry Edward. He meant everything to me. But I was seventeen and although he was seventeen everyone in Forks thought he was eighteen now. He would have to wait a whole year for me. Would our relationship last another year?
I’m not going anywhere.
CRASH!
Edward whipped round and Charlie ran into the hallway.
“Thought we wouldn’t find you?” a strong male voice that echoed around the whole house.
“Loren.” Charlie sounded angrier than when he was shouting at Edward. “Get out of my house!”
“But we just got here,” Loren said, casually. “Haven’t we Mitchell?”
“Mitchell?” I whispered. Edward turned around to look at me. There was fury in his eyes.
“Come now, Charles. Show your guests a bit more hospitality.”
I gasped when I heard Mitchell’s voice. Edward already knew it was him that explained the fury. I moved forwards, to go to Charlie and confront Mitchell. What was he doing here? Who was Loren? What was going on?
Edward stopped me.
“Don’t go out there,” he whispered. “They’re here for Charlie.”
“What do you mean here for Charlie?” I asked but I already knew.
I looked past Edward and out into the hallway. I couldn’t see anything but the stairs. Charlie was out of my sight and so were Mitchell and Loren.
“No.” Edward held onto my arms tightly. “Kayla, they want you too.”
“Who are these people?” I asked him. “You can read their minds, tell me.”
“I can only hear their thoughts, nothing else. You’ll have to read their minds.”
“Watch over me.” I whispered as I closed my eyes. I reached out with searching for Mitchell’s mind. His was easier to find as I already knew him. My ability had become stronger the past year so I was able to do more with it.
Mitchell was very confused. His mind was swirling with doubt and fear. Thoughts were racing around his head.
Loren said this is the only way.
This is the right thing. I’m doing nothing wrong.
If she dies, will it be my fault?

Suddenly a memory appeared. It was night-time, the sky black with no stars or moon. There was a fire burning, casting long shadows on the ground. There were two people surrounded by trees. They must have been in a forest. The two people walked into the light of the fire and I saw it was Charlie and Mitchell.
“You understand why I did it, don’t you?” Charlie asked Mitchell.
“I understand but it doesn’t mean I can forgive you for it.”
“Arianna was a horrible woman.”
“That’s my sister, Charles, watch your mouth.” Mitchell snarled.
“She was torturing innocent human beings. She had to be stopped before she exposed your kind and mine.”
Mitchell sighed. “If Loren ever found out that I was meeting you tonight, I will be lying next to my sister.”
“I won’t be telling him. The man wants revenge on me.”
“I don’t think I will be able to talk him out of it.”
“Do one thing for me, Mitchell,” Charlie pleaded. The light of the fire showed his eyes were full of fear. “Protect Michaela. If Loren ever tries to go after my daughter, please, protect her.”
Mitchell hesitated.
“Please. She is young and knows nothing now. I know that Jenzis and Azdis are enemies but you and I are friends. Protect her if Loren tries to harm her.”
Mitchell was quiet for a few moments before he spoke.
“I promise.”

Mitchell’s POV

I tried not to think of the last time I had seen Charlie but I couldn’t stop myself. The memory came back hard and fast. The man had changed a lot from the last time we met. He was older and age had taken its toll on him. There were bags under his eyes from lack of sleep. He must be worrying about us killing his daughter in the middle of the night. He never feared for his own life, he was unselfish like that. He was a good man Charlie Swan, he only wanted to protect people.
Remember what you promised me, Mitchell. Charlie’s voice spoke in my head. I always wondered how he managed to project his thoughts into other people’s minds. Loren has fed your mind with evil and turned you against me. Remember, I have always been good to you. I was and still am your friend. Protect her from Loren if I am unable to. She is still young and knows nothing still. Don’t let her be killed for my deed.
Charlie bombarded me with memories of us as friends, of Michaela when she was young and of her now, scared.
Don’t do this to me! I thought to him. I can’t! You killed Arianna! I must take revenge!
Then why didn’t you do it all those years ago?
He was right. If I wanted to take revenge on him why didn’t I kill him the last time I saw him.
Because you knew I was right in what I had done. You knew that Arianna had gone too far. You were going to stop her yourself but I got there first.
How do you know so much, Charles? I asked. The man knew almost everything about me even thought we had only talked five times in the past.
I just watch and listen.
“Get the girl, Mitchell.”
I turned to Loren and saw his blue eyes glittering with excitement. I glanced at Charlie who looked ready to fight.
“Where is she?” I asked Charlie.
“You’ll never get her,” Charlie growled.
“We don’t have to,” Loren smiled evilly. “She’ll come to us. Call her Mitchell.”
I looked from Loren to Charlie. Who should I obey? Charlie or Loren? I didn’t want to harm Michaela but why should Charlie get away with killing my sister?
You knew what she was doing was wrong,Charlie’s voice appeared in my head. I should pay for what I did, I understand, but why should Michaela? She’s taken no part in this and it should remain like that. Don’t hand her to Loren, you know she’ll be killed. Do you want her blood on your hands?
“Do it Mitchell!” Loren screeched at me. “Call her!”
I had mesmerized Michaela enough that she would come to me at the sound of my voice. If I called her, Loren would take her. But what if I got to her first? If I called and she came to me and if I grabbed her hand and shimmered, she would be safe. But would I be?
Do it, Mitchell, Charlie thought. Save her now and I will protect you.
“Michaela!” I called her, my voice loud and strong. “Come to me!”
“NO! Kayla, NO!”
Michaela Swan walked into the hallway, her eyes glazed. Her human boyfriend followed. Michaela reached her hand out to me and Edward grabbed her arm and tried to pull her back.
Take Edward with you. She’ll need him.
I nodded and took Michaela’s outstretched hand.
“Is this the human?” I heard Loren say. “He will be disposed of soon.”
“You won’t touch me!” Edward snarled. “Or Kayla!”
He tried to pull Michaela away but I held on tight. I felt the wave like feeling travelling down my body and then we shimmered.
