I waited outside the restaurant for what seemed like hours. The time dragging by as I waited for her. I couldn't believe how antagonizing it was to wait. I hate waiting.
Look at that hottie. Some moron was thinking. I looked to that direction and there, walking towards me was the most beautiful girl in the world. Elizabeth Martin.
Her brown hair reminded me of the warmth I used to feel from Bella. Her bright blue eyes reminded me of the ocean in the sun. Her pale, rosy complextion reminded me of cream colored milk. So beautiful yet so out of reach. I remember that night that I proposed to Bella. I remember how she thought I was joking. I realize now that that would have been a big mistake. A monstrous one, now that I met the truest love I could ever have.
"Hi Edward,"her beautiful soprano voice spoke to me and only me. I smiled.
"Hello, Liz, I'm so glad you agreed to this."
"Me too. To tell you the truth I couldn't wait, I just couldn't. For some reason I feel like I'm drawn to you."
"I feel exactly the same way about you."
There's just something about you, I can't put my finger on it, but he's just to perfect to be human. He's too sweet and nice and honest. He seems just as shy as I am. I can't believe that he feels the same way about me, that I feel about him.
"Shall we eat?"
Maybe this was a mistake. I would have to swallow the disgustingly mushy, gooey stuff and act more human for her than I did for Bella. I feel like I should tell her that I'm a vampire, but I don't want to push her away from me. I should let her figure it out herself.
"Table for 2,"I told the maiter'd.
"Right away, sir."
He led us to a booth.
"So what CD do you have in your CD player right now?"
"Um... I think I have a Lincoln Park CD in there."
"Me too. Wow, that's weird."
"My turn to ask you a question, what book are you currently reading?"
"Actually, I'm not reading a book, but the last book I read was..."I paused, I figured I would drop a hint about what I was, she wouldn't notice the pause,"Dracula, by Bram Stoker.
"Oh my gosh, I'm reading that book right now. What did you think of it?"
"I think that not all vampires would be horrible like Dracula, some could be good, and I don't really believe that they sleep in coffins, I don't think they sleep at all. I think it would be possible for them to drink animal blood instead of human blood if they wanted to."
"Wow, you're really oppinionated."
"A little bit,"I allowed.
Wow I can't believe he's so much like me. In certain ways. Vampires. He could be a vampire, he's so beautiful, but why would he take me to dinner if he was a vampire? Vampires don't eat human food. But his skin is so pale, I just want to feel his skin.
"Hello, my name is Melanie Reed, and I will be your waitress for tonight. Would you like to order now?"
"Sure,"I said never taking my eyes off of Liz,"What would you like?"
"Um, I'll have the 5 Spice Onion Soup and the Sesame Braised Chicken and Cabbage, for my drink, I'll have Root Beer."
"I'll have a Root Beer also with a 12 oz steak, rare."
"I'll be right back with your order,"she replied winking at me, of course I wasn't watching her.
Rare? Maybe he is a vampire. That would be cool.
"You sound like a vampire."
"Maybe I am. Would that scare you?"
"No, I actually like vampires, I've never met a real one though. I'd like to."
"If I was a vampire, would you still like me?"
"Yes, I would. Are you a vampire?"
"I might be, if you do something for me, I can show you sometime if I am a vampire."
"Okay, what do I have to do?"
"You have to move to Forks, Washington with me, in about a week. So you'll have time to pack."
"Well I've never been outside of New York City, but I guess I'll go."
Then our food arrived and we ate, even though I didn't enjoy it, the blood was okay. I left her have the root beer though.
