edward's pov
it's been 5 weeks since i arrived to vietnam to the alpha company. I have to accept that my mother was right i wasn't ready for war well none of us really were. The war consisted of days of bieng bore to death and hours of pure horror ; i hadn't been hurt but i had watch many died i feel bad for saying that i am really lucky that i didn't knew well the guys that had died. but that was how it was you tried to maintain what is yours as selfish as it sounds...
i had form a really closed relationship with all the guys of alpha company well most of them
emmet and jasper were the closest. Jasper was a quiet guy but brave and smart. emmet was huge but like a boy inside and really brave he was kind of the second lieutenant. the real lieutenant was carlisle at first i thougth he was too young to be lieutenant but he prove me wrong he was smart and knew how everybody was without asking he was what keep us somehow center and calm in those hours of panic.
the other guys i was also close were jake ,seth, tyler and tim.

we were relaxing at the tent playing card carlisle, jasper ,emmet and i while the other guys were playing volleyball.
seth arrived with a bunch of cards
"hey guys mail just arrived -i have 1 for you lieutenant - 2 for emmet and 1 for you jasper "
i was still looking at the cards i wasn't expecting a card a didn't have a girl and my mom was mad at me for going to war. i had tried to apologized but i couldn't apologize by a letter
i saw a wide and joyful smile spread at carlisle face
"so i see its from esme" i said
carlisle just nodded and went outside to read his letter. i was amazing how much he loved that girl it was as his world revolve around her...
"i got a letter from maria ...." jasper whisper angrily emmet and i laugh
maria was a ex girlfriend of jasper that didn't get that she was he EX girlfriend of jasper evey mail there was a letter from her telling him how much she love him..
"well at least you got a letter"!so who send you letters emmet?" i whispered i bit grumpily i wanted to write to someone just to talk to but i didn't have to
emmet was reading his letters smiling fondly and laughing lightly
"eee what ?-- o yeah my baby sis and my hot girl" he said proudly smilig hugely
jasper just laugh i shake my head emmet always said that he had the hottest girl rosalie but he refuse to show us a picture saing he was too hot for us.
"she is the most beautiful girl you'll ever met im saing the truth ..god i miss her.. " emmet said and then look at me
"eddiw i know how you are always mopping aroung when you don't receive any letters so i ask bellie if she minded to respond to your letters and she said she didn't so you can but remember she is my little sister so do anything and i'll kick your ass cullen"
i laugh "emmet first i told you its edward not eddie and second yes i would like to have someone to write to but i don't think im that desperate to write to a what 9 year old girl".
then emmet laugh " edwin bella is 17 not nine" he laugh even louder
i look at jasper and he look just as surprize as me. but the truth is that every time emmet talk about bella -bellie bear- my baby sis- izzy girl he alwys sounded like bella had 10 years tops
but i guess we were wrong
"ok then i think ill write to her" i said shrugging!and its edward!"
emmet nodded and leave the tent to start reading rose letter
jasper was now playing his own invented game of cards so i decieded to start my letter to bella
i felt a little strange writing a letter to someone i didn't know but it was better than nothing i guess

to tell you the truth i feel i bit akward writing a letter to a girl a never knew before but being here to one else to talk to is sometimes terrifing. Don't get me wrong the guys here are like my brothers but sometimes i need to talk to someone in the normal world you know?
Emmet said that you said it would be alright if i send lettes to you but i don't want you to feel obligated if you get annoy be me that it might happen then you don't have to send letters. Emmet speaks a lot of you but i have to admit that my first guess of your age was 9 or 10 haha ok i wasn't trying to be offensive or anything sorry if it sounded like that but bellie bear really?? haha so what are you like emmet says you are 17 just like my sister are you going to college? what is you favorite books or music? sorry if i sound noisy well i guess thats all a pleasure writing this letter to you miss izzy girl

I was walking to my parents meadow but i was wasnt paying attention to the beauty i was writing a poem:
A winter night,
Cold and harsh
He only holds me in his too hot hands
Our love is like a blooming rose
Only ten times faster
And more sweeter
He disolves in darkness,
My handsome knight is gone
But he doesnt come back
LIke i thought he would
Back to the meadow
Here I am
Flowers growing so vibrantly
But my meadow is gone
And so is he.
I was so deep inside this poem like it was worth everything to me. But at the same time i was listening to my Ipod the song was My Immortal by Evanescence and it just reminded me of him. I heard noises even with the music on full blast but i didnt care i just sat there waiting for sleepiness take over me. But the pain of staining in my heart was just to much and i saw bare feet in front of me.
