The sun was almost risen when the elders took Hollystar's body. It was a silent day in the Clan. Everyone did what they had to do all but me. My mentor died so i was left with no mentor. Flowerpaw went out to hunt with a hunting patrol. Cloverpaw was depressed since today would have been her warrior ceremony. It was sunhigh when the hunting patrol came back. I went to take some fresh kill from the pile. Flowerpaw was back now. We all ate by the rock by our den. Raveneye had gone to a cave to receive his name and nine lives from StarClan. As the day went on warriors returned from patrols and hunting. Finally at sun down Raveneye returned. THe Clan was wating they gathered at the Hill for him to speak. He went up to speak with us. "Cats of DeathClan as leader i must now choose a deputy. Then we have a warrior to be named. But now. I say these words before StarClan in hope that they will hear and approve my choice, Honeyflower will be the deputy of DeathClan." Ravenstar said. The Clan praised her, Honeyflower Honeyflower they had called. When the noise died down Ravenstar continued. " Cloverpaw was due to be made a warrior but in the recent event she waited so now Cloverpaw come forward. I Ravenstar leader of DeathClan call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the noble ways of your code. I commend her a warrior in return. Cloverpaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to defend and protect this Clan even at the cost of your life?" Cloverpaw answered, "I do." Ravenstar continued, "Then by the powers of StarClan i give you your new name from this moment you will be known as Cloverheart for your bravery in times of need. WE welcome you as a full member of DeathClan." Ravenstar finished. THe Clan praised the new warrior,"Cloverheart Cloverheart!" Ravenstar waited again. "Lastly Treepaw needs a mentor so in honor of his previous mentor i shall be Treepaw's mentor. This meeting is over!" Ravenstar climbed down from the hill. Cloverheart was in the middle of the clearing in vigil guarding the camp. The following morning i was woken up by Flowerpaw. "Come on Treepaw you got to get up now!" I jumped up ready. I ran to find Ravenstar. I found him. He came from his den in the Hill. He saw me and came over. I was ready to train! "Treepaw today i think we will start with hunting. Let's go." He said. I followed eager to learn to hunt. As we went through the tunnel of gorse i smelled a strange scent. I looked at Ravenstar but he kept going. We walked into our territory even more. Ravenstar showed me how to hunt mouse. After several times i got my first catch. Ravenstar was glad,"Good Treepaw now i think its time to head back for the night." We went back to camp. The next days followed the same but we also started to fight too. It had been over three moons now i was an apprentice. Dapplepaw was with her mentor Jaywing. Things went bad. Flowertail ran into camp with her patrol. We gathered to listen. She said,"There are cats like us they speak of Clans and such outside our terryitory! One was a leader by the name of Firestar he wants to speak with Ravenstar but we didn't let them onto our land at all! There were some others warriors by the look of them with him. They got a strange smell to them though." Yowls ofoutrage rose from the Clan Ravenstar silenced them. He went to the Hill and waited for us to quiet. We did finally. "DeathClan let us speak to these outsiders our Clan has been with no others like ourselves for moons upon moons. Flowertail and your patrol lead me to them. The rest of you stay in camp. Kits are to be in the nursery. Apprentices stay with your mentors. Warriors without an apprentice guard the camp entrance." Ravenstar ordered. He jumped down and ran with the patrol.
