So, there are a lot of fanfics on the internet. I mean A LOT. Even I need a break sometime. So, lets read a internet comic strip. The one known infamously throughout the internet as the Bong Chong Dong Ghost…. Oooooh….. fuck.
So, this is a comic strip that comes from Korea. And, if you’re uncultured, then the only thing you can think of from Korea is Kim Jong Un, and Gundam Style. In other words, GET YOUR MIND OUT OF THE FUCKING GUTTER! Anyway, this is probably one of the most well known and most terrifying thing from Korea…. minus their IPhone games, but, I mean actual terror. The Bong Chong Dong Ghost is a story about a woman who loses her infant daughter, after her and her husband divorce, and so, she jumps off a building and kills herself. Now, she is back as a ghost, and scares people to the point where the fall unconscious. It’s your typical ghost story, but, that’s not the scary part.
So, this specific story starts with a girl named, “I-Have-No-Name-So-You-Can-Relate-To-Me-Even-Though-I-Have-No-Personality” Girls… You know, your usual school girl main character. Anyway, she is walking home down a street, when she see’s this woman in pajamas that is all wobbly. So, when Miss Nameless gets closer, that’s when…. you will jump out of your seat. This comic actually has a gif section. For those of you who don’t know, a gif is a bunch of pictures put together in order to make a picture move. They are pretty impressive… IF THEY WEREN’T USED FOR CATS OR FAIL VIDEOS…. Sorry. Anyway, this comic has a gif, with the ghost turning its head, and worse, this gif has sound, so, you can hear it’s neck cracking as it turns. Oh………. That’s pleasant.
So, anyway, the ghost asks where its child is, and the girl points somewhere far away. So, she tries to walk off, when the ghost realizes she was lying, and… Another jump scare. Normally, I hate jump scares, but, these are coming from a comic strip. A fucking comic striped, where your chance of finding a jump scare in a comic book is as good as finding the Fountain of Youth in your backyard. That’s why this scares works so well. It catches you by surprise, so it works.
Anyway, the girl falls unconscious and wakes up the next day, with only minor scratches. It then shows us that the ghost is of a woman that killed herself after she lost her child… That… is… Also… pleasant.
So, that was the Bong Chong Dong Ghost, and it is….. Way too scary for me. Trust me when I said, I had to go to the page three times, just to get past the first jump scare. Maybe I’m more scared of it than others, I don’t know. But, that’s what happens when it catches you by surprise. So, overall, I think this was a good story. Not just scary, but, it also gives you a good idea of how the ghost came to be. If this is the stories that is told around a campfire in Korea, then… I really don’t want to read the creepypastas they make. So, yeah, if you want a good scare, then read this… But, just take head of the warning… and yes, this story is so scary, that is says that you should not read it if you are pregnant with children, under aged, or elderly. Even the writer knew this was real scary. But, hey’ that’s only my opinion. What’s Your Take
