Your penname has to be something that has some sort of meaning to you that you love and would be willing to be called by by everyone. take mine for instance
L.R.Talbot part of it is from my favorite movie of all time and favorite screenwriters for that matter and each initial stands for something.
One way you can picture your pen is your a superhero and its your codename a name that mystifies the world everyones trying to figure out who's behind the mask.
So basically what i'm trying to say is its something only you can decide on it doesn't matter if it makes since to the world as long as it makes since and is a name you love.
i tell you one thing i've thought about changing my last name to Talbot for years which makes it even more of a good idea for me as a pen name

If I want a pen name I had thought of using names from my family history and you could do the same find out from your parents the first names and surnames of great grandparents and see if they sound good.

I'd say to do something that reflects you in some way. Although I'd probably end up publishing under my real name, my personal pen name (I have one because it's fun, and just in case I need it!) is Rose Tea (as you can see from my username XD). But do something that means something to you, or maybe something with the same initials, or something creative. As long as it isn't completely random! :D
