This is my review for Royal Rumble 2012. I didn't get to see most of the first match, (the steel cage match for the World Heavyweight Title), so I can't rate it.

Key:
DUD = Zero Stars = There was NOTHING good about this match. I highly suggest that you don't watch it, because it made me want to claw my eyes out.
One Star = * = Horrible. If there was anything good about this match, it was over-shadowed by the bad parts.
Two Stars = ** = Pretty bad. Not too horrible, but nothing special. There was probably only one or two things about this match that were good.
Three Stars = *** = Pretty good. Not a must-see match, but nothing that would make you scream in frustration, either.
Four Stars = **** = Wonderful! A must-see match that will be remembered for a very long time.
Five Stars = ***** = Perfect. A classic match that will be remembered forever.

The second match was Beth Phoenix, Natalya, and The Bella Twins vs Kelly Kelly, Eve, Alicia Fox, and Tamina. I was shocked that this was on the card... I mean, Beth hasn't shown up on Raw or Smackdown for the past four weeks, even though she's the Divas Champion. I honestly expected Natalya vs Tamina, since that's what they've been building on SmackDown.

Anyone who knows me knows I truly, honestly think the Divas Division is broken and needs to be fixed. I was cheering for the heel team because half of them are talented (Beth and Natalya), where as the only talented one on the face team was Tamina.

The Bellas appear to have improved a little-- of the moves that they did, they only messed up a couple of strikes. The submissions they did were actually applied properly, and that gives me hope that some day, I won't want to beat them with shovels. There was a really great spot where the Divas were brawling outside of the ring and Kelly Kelly did a splash on top of them. I hate Kelly, but I was pleasently surprised when she didn't mess up the splash. I gave the match two stars (out of a possible five stars). Nothing special, and nothing you need to see, but it's probabaly the best work you'll ever get out of Eve, Kelly, Alicia, and The Bellas for now.

The next match was John Cena vs Kane. I gave it three stars-- it was a great match, but it got a good rating mostly because of the after-match segments. Cena and Kane did pretty good in this match. Afterward, they brawled outside the ring until Kane lost Cena. He found Zack Ryder, went back in the ring and gave Zack a tombstone while Eve stood there being horrified. Why are Eve and Zack in a relationship? She's got all the personality of a glass of water and all the tender sweetness of a sea-sick crocodile (Grinch reference :3). I would have given it three and a half stars if Kane had attacked Eve, too, but alas, he didn't. John Cena tried to rescue Zack, but Kane gave him a chokeslam and left Eve crying in the ring.

The next match was-- oh my dear sweet lord-- Brodus Clay vs Drew McIntyre. For those who don't know, Brodus was going to be a monster heel who inducted people into his "house of pain", but Vince McMahon gave the gimmick to Mark Henry instead. I was excited to see Brodus as a monster, so every time I see this "Funkasaurus" shit I cringe.

Seriously, this is the worst gimmick in the company right now! Someone of Brodus's talent shouldn't have to be subjected to such a horrible gimmick and horrible entrance music... But I digress. The match lasted about a minute, with Brodus squashing Drew. For obvious reasons, this match gets a dud.

Then was the WWE Title Match. John Laurinitus was going to be the special guest refferee, but in order to prove he wasn't biased, he got a second official out there to work in the ring while he was out of the ring. The match was wonderful-- Punk and Dolph have a lot of talent and in-ring chemistry, and the technical spots in there were great. Punk pinned Dolph twice, and made him tap once, but the refferee had been knocked out of the ring and good ol' Johnny Ace had to check on him. *cough*

There was a great spot where Punk went for the GTS and Dolph countered it into a fame asser-- it litterally made my jaw drop. In the end, Punk pinned Dolph to retain the title (yay!).
The main event was the Royal Rumble. The Miz was the number one entry and he lasted for about 45 minutes, which is nearing Rey Mysterio's record of 62 minutes and 2 seconds. The seventh entry was Mick Foley, which was awesome, although (of course) he didn't win. For the eight entry, Alberto Del Rio's music played and I groaned. I hate that man.

The car he was driving, though, was a crappy car with tape on it... It turned out it wasn't Del Rio, it was Ricardo Rodriguez! I totally marked out, hoping that he would win the Royal Rumble because Ricardo is amazing. If you haven't seen his matches in FCW, you probably don't get that.
He didn't really get a chance to shine, though-- he was used for comedy. The crowd was loving him, cheering for him like crazy, and at a point they were chanting his name.

For those who don't know, Alberto Del Rio stole Ricardo's gimmick and his entrance music. It was all Ricardo's in FCW, and he pulled it off better than Del Rio ever could... *grumbles*.... But I digress.

Michael Cole had a spot in the RR, which made me cringe. Really, that man needs to stick to commentary.

Kharma finally came back, which was AWESOME! She hit Dolph with the Implant Buster (that's what she calls her finisher) and eliminated two men, including Michael Cole, before Dolph eliminated her.

Lucky number 27 was David Otunga, which SUCKS, because I hate David. The man can't wrestle for shit. He got eliminated by either Jericho or Big Show (I can't remember, it's late at night right now).

Despite the fact that Hornswoggle and Heath Slater said they'd be in the RR, they weren't. I hate Hornswoggle (he's not funny, he's just stupid and offensive. He's not even Irish, for God's sake!), so that made me happy... But I loooooovvee Heath Slater to death, so not seeing him disappointed me. I got see Wade, though, and since he's my other fangirl crush, that's a plus. Wade didn't win, though, unfortunately, because Randy Orton (ugh) eliminated him.

In the end, the final two were Jericho and Sheamus... I honestly thought Y2J would win, and I was cheering for him, because I want to know what he means by "it will be the end of the world as you know it".

Sheamus eliminated Jericho with the Brogue Kick and won the Royal Rumble. I was shocked, and I immediately said "They picked the wrong redhead to win!" Haha. But I like Sheamus, too. Still, I wish Wade or Jericho had won.
Over all, the match gets four and a half stars from me. Definitely a wonderful Royal Rumble match! I suggest you see it if you haven't already.

Over all, the pay-per-view itself gets a rating of 7.50 out of 10 (because I didn't see the opening match). It was a pretty good pay-per-view over-all, though, and I suggest you watch it. Nothing really made me angry except for not getting to see Heath, Ricardo not getting to show off his full moveset, and Brodus being there.

Well, that's it for me. See ya in the Elimination Chamber review. ;)
