She walked out of the room, locking the door behind her. She headed into the large room and looked around. She waved Anton over.
“How close are we?”
“Just a few more hours.”
“Make it sooner. Anything can happen.”
“Of course.”
“Dismissed.”
Anton left and she was approached by Teague and Serepta.
“Enough of this! We have played your game long enough! You promised them to us! We've done our part. Where are they?!”
“Patience Serepta. You'll have your warrior soon enough. As for the angel, she will return to us soon. I needed her. I want to fuel the fire a little more before they figure it out. Now leave before I make you their next target!”
The two glanced at each other before leaving. She smirked.
“Oh Salva! Might I speak with you?”
She walked around in the park. Despite the sunny day, there was no cheer inside her. Terror was no where to be found, the team was starting to fall apart, and things were just messy. She had hopped the day would have cheered her up. But it did little to her turmoiled heart. She sat on a bench, tucking a lock of hair behind her.
“I wish things were normal again.”
She looked around as she heard laughter break out. Just the kids from various activities. She sighed and looked down at her hands.
“Normal? Yeah right! I'll never be normal. These things these-claws betrayed me!”
She looked up again. This time, something caught her eye. A black-haired male. Golden eyes.
“Alex...!”
She got up and followed him. He looked behind, saw her, and took off.
“Wait!”
Cat ran after him, dodging children and park goers. She jumped over several obstacles, getting closer. She saw him crossing the street. She ran fast and just barely missed getting hit. She ignored the honks, hand signals, and names. Alex was the one thing nothing could stop her from getting to. The one thing she had always wanted. He ran down an alley and she followed. She found him scaling a fence that blocked his path.
“Alex!”
He looked at her, startled. Both froze, panting. Alex slowly got down from the fence and watched her. The two stared at each other.
“Well kitten, you grew up.”
“Alex...you're dead.”
He chuckled at this, amused.
“If I were I wouldn't need to scale fences.”
“But I killed you. I saw you die!”
“Kitten, I'm alive.”
JUST when you thought it was almost over too!!!!! >XD
