Her bright blue eyes shone, unlike most kids the eyes were not filled with happiness, but with tears.
“S-s-stop!” her voice shook with pain and she was struck across the face with another sharp projectile. Three figures emerged through the smoke two of them were a lot smaller than the other.
“Pathetic! You call yourself my protégé?” One spat venomously the other gave an evil cackle, the other just smirked. And another projectile sliced through the air, she barely managed to roll across the cold concrete floor and the object exploded.
“Protégé? HA she isn’t fit to be alive much less a partner!” The small one said and kicked Delta in her stomach which already had a black projectile in it. The long haired girl’s face was illuminated as two balls of fire danced in her palm, she only wished she could unsee the malice in the other’s eyes.
“B-B-Ba-Bruce! P-l-please!!” She sobbed only to get the response of another slash to her already wounded arms; she could see her own bones through the bloody mess of flesh and muscle.
“You aren’t worthy of even saying my name!” The figure roared ad emerged through the haze reveling the Dark Knight. And threw a bat-a-rang right at her head and left a huge gash through her face ad she immediately couldn’t see out of her left ‘eye’ or more like what was left of it. She couldn’t even feel her hot blood course over herself, just cold mind-numbing cold.
“Robin, teach her,” Batman said sneering and Delta heard light footsteps, she managed to open her leary eye seeing the world in a red tint and a black and even deeper red figure walk up.
“Dick, please,” She whispered, and got a heavy boot in the face. And more laughter.
“Just kill me,” She pleaded one last time. Laughter responded
“Now that wouldn’t be any fun now would it?” Kyra’s voice boomed in her ears. Delta groped around with her only hand that would respond and felt a bird-a-rang covered in her own blood and she brought it crashing down on her skull.
Gasping, Delta stood up or more like fell down there was a horrible sight in front of her. The whole Young Justice team was on the floor. Delta was holding one of Robins bird-a-rangs so tightly in her hand it was bleeding; Robin had his mask off and was clasping his head in his hand screaming unknown words; Infinity was curled up in a tight ball, tears silently running down her face; Aisling was on her hands and knees, tears staining the floor as her shrikes filled Delta’s ears; Kid Flash was crying, screaming, and vibrating so fast she couldn’t see him clearly; Artemis was screaming bloody murder and was clawing at her skin; Superboy was flinging himself agents the walls yelling; Megan was sobbing hard and sending chunks of concrete everywhere; Kaldur was in a ball muttering in Atlaninan. Delta did the next thing that came to her mind.
She threw the Bird-a-rang straight at Robin’s neck.

"What do you mean?"
"Sir, we may accidentally damage their minds,"
"Why do we care? We need their fears"
"These people barely made it out though,"
"That Was Only Level One,"
