Not a two parter. So it will be answered
She woke up to the sound of light knocking on her door. She groaned, but got up. She yawned as she opened the door. Her eyebrows knit in confusion as she looked around.
“Strange. Could've sworn I heard knocking.”
She moved to close the door. Her eyes caught something on the floor and she stopped. Little blue rose petals. She smiled a bit and picked up the card that was leaning against the candle, surrounded by dozens of beautiful blue rose petals. She opened the card and smiled again. More rose petals. But these ones had words on them, arranged in a sentence.
Dearest Blade,
Meet me under the stars in the place we first met. If you loose your way, look for the roses to show you.
Humblest (and luckiest) of Monsters
Blade smiled and shut the door, picking up the candle beforehand. She arranged the candle next the vase of roses Terror had given her over the course of time she had known him. They were all varieties of color, mostly blue, and still as fresh as the day they had been picked, though she had no idea how that was possible. She looked at the clock and read the time. It was barely eight in the morning.
“Great. Now this will be the slowest day ever!”
But the smile still lingered on her lips as she set out to get ready for the day.
She waited till most of the stars were out before heading out to see her boyfriend. Only he would know it would be a cloudless night. The smile that had dominated her lips for a better part of the day came back and she went on her way. Though she remembered the first day they had met very clearly, she searched for the roses anyways. Each held a little riddle to help her out. And the colors were a very fun mix. The first was yellow, the next was blue, then purple, then red. The last clue held two roses, one white, the other red. Which confused her. She followed the last clue to back up the mountain and around one of the bends. And there it was. A small picnic set for two, candles, and a few lights hanging on the nearby trees. Around the scene was a circle of rose petals. All white.
“Do you like it?”
The sudden voice startled her, but she didn't show it. She turned, the smile brightening her face when she saw him. He was hanging back in the shadows, like usual, but was looking at her with a small smile.
“It's beautiful. But what's with the circle?”
Terror smiled and came closer to her.
“There was a story I heard once. Of a prince and his princess. They were escaping the curse of a witch. But his princess hurt her ankle. So he drew a circle of protection around her in the sand.”
Here he picked her up and set her in the circle.
“As long as she stayed inside the circle, she was safe from any harm of the magic forest.”
“What happened?”
Terror's face turned a little red.
“She saw a fawn and followed it. He never found her again. Not...alive at least.”
Blade laughed a little.
“Now I see why you didn't finish the story.”
Terror shrugged and Blade laughed again. She pulled him over to the picnic scene. He smiled and pulled her into his lap once they were seated.
“Where did you hear that story?”
“India. That's their reason of the sun and moon.”
“Well it's a nice story.”
Terror smiled and pecked her cheek. The evening passed in romantic humor. Blade was content to stay with him all night.
“It's getting late, Terror.”
“Just wait a few more minutes. Please?”
“Okay.”
At that moment, it started to snow. But what surprised Blade was that the snow never touched past the circle of roses. Their little paradise was the only green thing not being covered by snow.
“Wow. That's amazing!”
“A trick I picked up,” Terror explained.
Blade smiled, looking out at the beautiful white scene. It was almost magical, the way it snowed soft cold flakes but was never spoiling their little retreat. She gave an amazed laugh.
“This night is perfect.”
“Merry Christmas love.”
Terror gave her lips a breathless kiss.
She only could smile and stare at the scene around her. Terror pulled a silver band from his pocket. The band was indented with a crimson red opal, three little rubies on either side of it. Nothing flashy, but something to remember. Her eyes fell on it immediately.
“Blade, marry me.”
She woke up to the sound of light knocking on her door. She groaned, but got up. She yawned as she opened the door. Her eyebrows knit in confusion as she looked around.

Brendan stood in his Navy uniform in silence.
"Why....why did you do it?" He pulled off his hat, and stared at the memorial, it was a tribute to the fallen soldiers. Brendan dipped his finger in black paint, and started writing his friends name on the wall. They begged you not to go into this. You knew it was suicide mission, escpically with your powers. She begged you gods sake. I don't get why you did it...but I guess you made your choice. Tears slid down Brendans face I guess, you felt it was your place, to take that spot. But you brought down a evil force, a force so strong, that only you could break it. The Government will pay. They'll pay for what they put you through. I swear I'll avenge your death. Brendan wiped his hands clean and walked away. He had thirty-hours until he boarded the submarine, that's when his plan went underway.
Anyone got any idea who sacrificed themself?

Excerpt-
"Is this cool or what?!" the teen exclaimed more than asked. His companion merely grunted a reply barely audible over the cheering crowd.
"Oh come on! How can you not like him?!"
"Do I really need to tell you again, Parker?"
"Yes."
"He's an eccentric, playboy billionaire who goes out at night and--"
"And?" Peter asked, smirk plastered to his face.
Sam grinned. "Ah, you're right." He frowned again. "I still don't like him."
"Whatever." Peter said, waving his hand absentmindedly.
"And now, ladies and gentlemen, Samuel Grant!"
The crowd burst into fresh cheers as Sam walked on-stage and shook the billionaire's hand. "Pleasure to meet you Mr. Stark."
"He's a natural actor." Peter shrugged.
