Kitty sat on her open window sill looking down into the alley below. Her head tilted while she watched thugs dig around in the dumpsters below.
"It has to be in here somewhere!" one of the thugs threw a can to the ground.
"What are we even looking for?!" Kitty stepped off the window sill and to the fire escape trying not to draw attention.
"The necklace we supposed to give to Penguin! I had it on the roof and that pesky cat knocked it from my hand!" Kitty smirked and climbed down the fire escape dropping behind the thugs.
"Looking for something, boys?" Kitty hooked her finger in the necklace chain and held it out.
"There is it!" One of the thugs pointed at her, Kitty yelped as a thug grabbed her tail. Her claws extended and she spun around, clawing his face.
"After her!" Kitty took off running with thugs close behind, she hissed and started climbing the building only to come face to face with Penguin.
"Hello pretty Kitty." Penguin grabbed the necklace and jerked it off. She ignored his squawks as she clawed at his face.
"Mine!" Kitty snatched the necklace and kicked him back, climbing down the fire escape and back into her room slamming the window shut.

She laid her forehead harder against the wall, staring at the concrete in frustration.
"This voice...this new voice. Go...way..."
"You can't run away from fate. I found you for a reason. I bound my soul with yours for a reason...Pandora. "

The sheer sound of that word sparked a burning rage inside her. "Do not call me that!" she snarled slashing her head to look behind her. Her eyes were met only with the emptiness of the room. She turned her gaze back to the wall the concrete felt cold on her temple bringing her back to reality. Her heart quietened down.

"what should I call you then if not your...
