Beep, beep, beep! I walked out of my room and to the mission room. Only Wally was there, and Batman was leaving.
“Hey Batman, uh what about the mission?” I asked. He didn’t reply.
“There is no mission” Wally said “I just asked Bat’s to ring the mission bell to get you down here so I could talk to you”
I started to walk away, but he cut me off. I rolled my eyes.
“Night, please. I wanted to apologize for earlier” he said. I glared at him.
“The reason I got all touchy was because I had nearly lost someone I loved” he continued
“Who?” I demanded
“You” he said quietly. I had no response to that. Tears filled my eyes again and I tried to walk away, but Wally grabbed my hand.
“Wally, you know that vow I made about staying maiden forever?” I asked quietly
“Yeah” he replied
“The reason I made that vow was so I could learn the secret of invisibility. The person who gave it to me, she can see all. She will know if I break it. And the second she knows, she will take back my gift of invisibility, forever.” I told him
“Night, that doesn’t change the way I feel about you” he said “From the second I saw you, I was in love with you” he admitted
More tears fell from my eyes. I looked away. He gently pulled up my chin so I looked him right in the eye. I leaned in and kissed him.
“Night, what about your invisibility?” he asked
“I’m tired of always hiding my feelings. You showed me its okay to let them show” I said. Suddenly, it felt like someone was reaching into my head and trying to grab something. I covered my head and dropped to my knees. I felt Wally drop down beside me. I felt faint and felt like I was going to throw up. I shut my eyes tight and concentrated on invisible. Nothing.
“She took it. She took my invisibility” I whispered
“Night, are you okay? You look really pale” KF warned
“She took my invisibility” I said a bit louder
“Who took it?” he demanded
“My master’s master” I said
“And who is that?” Wally asked
“She is the most powerful being in Europe and America. She see’s and knows all. She can be in up to nine places at once. In the ancient days, her name was a curse” I said
“Who is it?” he asked again
“Hidra, the many headed one” I said
