Becca was just walking through the mountain when she heard it. Music. She followed the sound down to the garage. She peeked inside, stunned. There was the Young Justice team, playing the music. Wally was playing the drums, Artemis was on electric guitar, Connor was on bass, Megan was the pianist, and Robin was the lead singer. Kaldur was talking on the phone, obviously the manager. Becca waited till the song was over before stepping into the room, clapping.
“Very impressive,” she said.
“Thanks,” Wally said with a wink.
Becca came up to Robin, placing her arms around his neck.
“Those are some nice vocal cords you have,” she said flirtatiously.
“My lips are good for more than just kissing.”
Becca smiled, ignoring Wally's gagging noises.
“So, how long have you been doing this?” Becca asked.
“Almost five months,” Artemis answered.
“How good are you?”
“We've won ten trophies.”
“Two trophies a month. Wow. Ever been beaten?”
“Nope,” Robin answered.
“And we never will be,” Wally added.
Becca nodded, hiding the smirk she wanted to show.
“Hey, Phoebe? Can I sing on our next gig?” Becca asked as she entered the music room.
Phoebe looked up at Becca, who was wearing a smirk. Delta, Willow, Mercy, and Danna, and Kyra were already staring at her. Becca was bouncing on her toes, waiting for an answer.
“Um..sure Becca but-”
“Thanks!” Becca called as she sauntered out of the room.
“Becca, they're good,” Willow said.
The girls had gone down to see Young Justice perform their song. Becca nodded, keeping her eyes on the band. The other girls stared at Becca, a little nervous at what she had in mind. Becca stood and clapped whit everyone else when the team had finished. But her claps were slow and foreshadowing. Robin caught her eye and Becca winked at him. Enjoy your pride while you have it. Cause your world will be rocked.
“Are you sure we can do this?” Phoebe asked Becca. “They're really good.”
“Phoebe, focus on playing your piano. My turn to sing. Alright?”
“Sure Becca.”
Mercy came up to Becca.
“They don't know we're here, do they?”
“Mercy, they haven't got a clue. But I know you'll still have Kaldur when it's over. In fact, this'll make him love you more.”
“Becca, why did you want this specific location?”
“They preform her two nights a month. For the competition. They've won, but haven't lost. All their pride is getting on my nerves. Especially Robin's. He just...forgot me all of a sudden, too focused on the band. So this is my way of deflating them.”
Mercy hugged Becca.
“You are devious. But I love you for it.”
Becca smiled, listening to the song.
“They'll be over soon, Mercy. Then we're up?”
“Yep.”
Becca smirked.
“Good.”
“Alright. That was your reigning champions. And now for a new band, the Neon Lights!”
The team sat back against their chairs, relaxed.
“We've got this,” Wally said. “A new band in our territory? So long Neon Lights.”
“Hey guys. My name's Becca.”
“What?” the team yelled in unison.
“Wow. Fans already,” Becca cracked, causing the people to laugh. “Anyway, this is the band. My sister Willow's on base, Kyra's our DJ, Phoebe, who is usually singing, is on piano, Danna's is our drummer, and our talented manager Mercy is backstage. I usually don't sing, but this was a special occasion. This song goes out to your current champions.”
The crowd began to hush, a few mumbling on about the last comment. Becca turned to the others and the music started. Becca stood at the microphone and began to sing.
Hot and dangerous
If you're one of us then roll with us
'Cause we make the hipsters fall in love
When we got our hot pants on and up
And yes of course we does
We runnin' this town just like a club
And no, you don't wanna mess with us
Got Jesus on my necklace-ace-ace
Got that glitter on my eyes
Stockings ripped all up the side
Looking sick and sexyfied
So let's go, oh, oh, let's go
“Were...were we set up?” Wally asked.
“Robin, your girlfriend is-she has an amazing voice. Please tell me you knew.”
The silence that followed proved Artemis wrong. None of them had known; about Becca or the band. And the band was amazing.
Tonight, we're going hard, hard, h-h-hard
Just like the world is ours, ours, o-o-ours
We're tearing it apart, part, p-p-part
You know we're superstars, we are who we are
We're dancin' like we're dumb, dumb, d-d-dumb
Our bodies going numb, numb, n-n-numb
We'll be forever young, young, y-y-young
You know we're superstars, we are who we are
Young Justice walked up to the Neon Lights. The competition was over and almost everyone had gone. The girls stood around their trophy, congratulating each other. They fell silent when they saw the other group. They stared at each other kind of awkwardly.
“Hi,” Becca finally said.
“Hey. You guys were amazing,” Robin complimented.
“Thanks. You guys were pretty cool.”
“Thanks.”
Silence fell again and Becca handed the trophy to the girls.
“I want you guys to know that the whole reason we did this was because of me. The girls had no clue until tonight that we were competing. So you can't blame them.”
“We aren't placing the blame on anyone. I guess we got carried away with the whole band thing.”
Becca smirked.
“Only a little. So...we're all good?”
“Yeah. We're good.”
“Cool. Cause next time, you'll have to win back your place as champions.”

I watch you stand,
You enjoy,
You spinn my head,
I know your name, Roy.
You cant hide,
I will find you,
A guy like you, should wear a warning.
I can see you now,
I can see you there,
Watching me,
But maybe, i dont care.
Your red hair,
Your eyes i can watch,
You love me,
Kick it up a notch?
Babe you cant have me,
I like to play hard to get,
You cant catch me,
I'll take my chance, its a bet.
I slip through you fingers everytime,
I kiss your lips,
I run through your hair,
With my finger tips.
And as my tohuge touched you,
I stood on the ledge, and fell back,
You try to catch,
But i slipp through.
Your face is stone cold,
But i know your mourning,
A guy like you,
Should wear a warning.
You enjoy,
You spinn my head,
I know your name, Roy.

I'm standing, i'm hiding,
You can't see me, invisible,
But i'm fighting.
I'm fighting on the inside,
I'm fighting with my heart,
You see me, whole,
But I know,
I'm falling, falling,
Apart.
Memories are going,
We are fighting, on the rooftop,
Close to falling, way up high,
Our silhouettes, shadows for,
The night sky.
You're tired, as am I
But one must win,
We won't give up,
Fighting, in pain, I
must end,
Now cry.
You've won, that's fine,
But you take pity, forget the fight,
You helped me, you saved me,
Gave me my light.
You can't see me, invisible,
But i'm fighting.
I'm fighting on the inside,
I'm fighting with my heart,
You see me, whole,
But I know,
