Chapter Two-
Whitestar Lines, Ireland

The man reached under the oiler and placed a small device there. He dragged a cord to the next boiler and placed another device there. He did this for all of the boilers, and then dragged the cord up the wall and the stairs to a room he had already booked.

The party was small. I'm pretty sure everyone noticed when Alex and I disappeared.
He took me into the backyard to look at the moon shining on the snow that clung to the trees. We walked and talked for a little while.
We had started to head back to the house when the bell hit a note.
Alex looked at me, his messy brown hair falling over his face. He leaned in and kissed me gently. I returned it with grace. We stood there for a few minutes, our mouths connected.
Eventually we stole back inside and pretended we had been there ever since. But everyone had that knowing grin when they saw us.

"Damn!"
It was a rare occurrence to hear my father curse. He must have been extremely upset. (Back theme, cussing was NOT done in public or in private.)
"Dad?" I asked.
"Yes, Tiana?" he sighed.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Something is wrong with the boilers. I tried to find someone to check them, but I couldn't. The Prime Minister from Britain is making a trip over to see me about the project, so I can't. The last thing I need is the Prime Minister seeing something wrong with the ship."
"I'll go check them!" I offered.
"No, honey--"
By then, I was racing towards the ship.
Once more, it loomed out of the darkness like a demon, but I ignored it. I ran inside and down to the boilers, being careful to not dirty my dress. Looking around, I didn't see anything wrong with the boilers. I was about to leave when I noticed a thin wire. I followed it until I reached the boiler pressure readings. They were rising quickly.
"Uh oh." I said. I made a dash towards the door, trying to get out of the ship.
I tripped on my dress and fell. The last thing I remember is the pressure readings shattering and red filling my vision.
---------------------------------------------
I groaned as I rolled over. I was on some sort of bed. It was soft and plush. I felt bandages wrapped around my head, right arm, torso, and legs. I slowly opened my eyes to see the white ceiling of a hospital. Someone next to me, probably my father looking back, yelled at someone that I was awake.
Alex appeared next to me.
My dad explained the boilers had exploded and the whole incident had been hushed up. He explained how they had found me in the wreckage of the hull.
Then it was my turn. I explained the wire in the ship and how the boilers had exploded. My dad's expression turned sour-er. He nodded and walked off.
Alex talked to me for a while before kissing me once more.
"I don't know what I would ever do without you." he said.
"Tiana! Concentrate!" a voice echoed in my head.
"Right, Robin! Sorry!" I said. I dodged another swing from lizard breath and moved behind him sluggishly. The water was hard to move through, with the crushing pressure down here, it was even harder.
A light beeped on my suit indicating I had little oxygen left.
"Tiana...!" Robin's voice echoed over the comms.
"I've got an idea!" I said.
"Not liking your tone..." Robin said.
"Miss Martian, get everyone clear of the immediate area!" I ordered.
I yanked my oxygen tank off.
'Lets hope it's enough.' I thought.
"Clear!" I yelled, tossing the oxygen tank.

The Clash-
SNEAK PEEK
"A biological attack has affected the greater part of New York City. A green fog rose from the streets this morning in downtown New York. Despite interventions of the Justice League & Young Justice, New York has been stranded from all help. Monsters are being formed from what we are told is 'Gamma Radiation'. But the main question everyone is asking is not "How will we save those who have been affected" Rather the question is: Where is New York's protector? Where is the Spiderman? And did he truly end the masked vigilante Red Revenge, now known as Samuel Grant?"
Should I publish?

Epilogue-
2 weeks later...
Artemis landed on the rooftop, bow drawn.
"Relax, it's me." Revenge said, emerging from the shadows.
Artemis cocked her head, but didn't let go of her bow OR arrow. "What do you want Revenge?"
"I've changed my mind." Revenge said. "I'll join the Team on one condition."
"What condition?" Artemis asked.
"You listen to what I have to say."
------------------------------------------------------
"Assassin."
"Master."
Cheshire bowed before Ra's Al Ghul.
"Your mission was a success?"
"Yes master." Cheshire handed her leader a disc which he inserted into a computer. "Holly's true loyalties were proven."
The screen behind Ra's Al Ghul lit up revealing a familiar face.
"And another of the "heroe's" identities belongs to...the Light."
