Wally resisted when his parents tried to get him in the car. They tried to push him in but he grabbed the sides of the door and held on tight.
“No I won’t go” he yelled.
“Wally we don’t have any time for this, we have to go or you’re going to be late for work”
“I’m fine with not going at all” He said. Then using his super speed he ran off.
“Ha-ha can’t make me go now” He said laughing an evil laugh. Suddenly a blur was coming right at him.
“Oh crab” He said sliding onto his back when the blur attempted to grab him. He was about to get up when a strong pair of arms pulled him up and grabbed him.
“Well it seems that someone just couldn’t wait to go to work” Barry said.
“Please uncle Barry let me go, if you do then I’ll send you a postcard from Guatemala” Wally said squirming.
“Sorry kiddo but you’re going” He said and in a flash they were in the front of the market. Wally groaned and walked in with Barry’s iron grip on his shoulder. The manager welcomed them both.
“Hello Barry. This must be Wally, Hey kid you’re going to love working here. We will probably have you work on something easy like retrieving carts and then you’ll work your way up.” He said really fast. Wally looked at Barry with a questioning look.
“Uh okay” Wally said slowly only catching a few words.
“That’s the spirit now lets have you change into your uniform” He said giving Wally a bag of clothes and pushing him into the locker rooms. A few moments later he emerged in a blue button up shirt and black pants. The manager quickly got him outside.
“Now it’s very simple just collect all the carts and put them back with the rest” When your done just find me and I’ll give you a new task” He said then went back into the store. Wally walked to the parking lot and started collecting carts.
“Uh this isn’t so hard” he said pushing a cart into another when he heard a honk behind him. He turned and saw a car was about to hit him. He ran out of the car’s way when he ran right into another car’s way hitting the bumper.
“Sorry” He called out. He let the car pass. Then he heard another honk. He looked around and saw that he was in a maze of cars.
“Uh oh” He said running through the cars. Many cars were honking.
“Sorry. Oops. Pardon me. Passing by” He yelled trying to run away from the cars. Deciding he didn’t want to be road kill he used his super speed to get back to the carts.
“All right I got two carts so I have” He said looking around the parking lot. He counted the carts after about twenty he stopped counting even thought there were many left to count.
“About a hundred to go” He finished saying. He took a deep breath and ran back into traffic.
