One. Its the separation between negative, and positive. 0 is just there for some reason.
So i think of it this way, im 1. Its the most lonely number, im here to separate the negative people and the positive people. And then theres Carlisle Cullen. He is 0.

it was Friday, and i was walking home from school. As usual, i would get home, do a ton of homework, and then have my hair brained mother ask me how my day went. How do you think it went? -sigh-
i was walking across this old ally where Mr. Creep and his cats lived. Then i got this feeling. You know that feeling when your all alone, and you feel eyes on you? Yes, i was in that situation. "Hello?" i asked silently. -smack- your crazy lora, no one is watching you. i thought.
so i keeped on walking. i stopped again because i heard a noise. i got a little worried. my moms excessive talk on the weirdos around down was filling my head. "god" i sighed. i walked faster, seeing my little blue house just ahead. SNAP!
thats when i saw him. a mugger. he wore his black clothes, a bag, and he carried a knife...a really sharp one at that. "were you going pretty lady?" his mouth curved into an ugly smirk. "get away from me" i hissed backing up. "aww, i was just gonnah say hello.." he leaned and ran toward me. i turned and dashed off, looking back to see that he was only a few feet away. "someone help! please help!" i cried as i stromed past the lifless ally. just then, with my luck, i tripped on my own feet and stumbled.
i heard him run to me grabbing my purse, then as i reached out my hand for my cel, i felt the sharp pain of his knife cut into my back. once, twice then nothing. everything went black.
CARLISLE POV
i heard the ambulance pull in and i ran into the lobby with the other docters. they brought out the lift bed as two men carried the limp body in.
i could smell it already, the blood.
"we need to get her to the ER now, Docter Nertanyaz, get the body gauze, some towels, and rubbing alcohol" i ordered as i help pull the girl into the room. she moaned in pain as i poured the alcohol onto her cuts. "what happened?" "she was jumped, the mugger must of stabbed for his own protection..maybe she was able to get help so he made it impossible" one of the cops told me.
it was an hour after, we had her ready and set to heal. the others went on ahead and left me alone to clean up. i dont mind anyway, since they were all going out to eat, and me...being a vampire and all. would look silly sitting there with a big plate of food and not eating one bite.
as i was cleaning the sick, i heard the woman groan. i turned to her. "he-help..me..i i cant feel my b-b-body" she stutered. "shh, everything is okay" i whispered as i ran my hand across her forhead. she opened her eyes to look at me. "where, a-am i?" "your in the hospital. do you remember what happened?" she shook her head no. "well you were jumped, then stabbed twice in your back. do you need any pain medicene?" "no..im good..i think" she raise her hand up to her arm, rubbing it and leaned her head back. "but there is something i do need." she opened her eyes back up.
"and what is that dear?" she smiled. "i need your hand back, it makes a good ice pack for my head" i laughed and layed it gently on her head again. "oh, one more thing" she looked up. "yes?" "your name please..docter..." she glanced to my name tag, witch was unreadable since it was covered in her own blood...witch smelled odly good..
"Dr. Carlisle Cullen. but you can call me carlsile if you wish..and you are?" "Loraine Manston, but my mom calls me lora" i raised an eye. "do your friends call you that?" she looked down. "what friends.." she muttered, thinking i couldnt hear. "well," i took her hand. "Ill be completely honored in being your friend..lora" i smiled. she did too. "well, carlisle...when do i get outta here? i still got homework to do" she smirked. "i think youll be ok staying for just a few more days?" "fine.." she sighed. "then maybe once you get out i can take you for dinner."
she patted my hand and closed her eyes. "sounds like a good idea Doc"
