Culdesac: day two

" Phew.... finally made it!" Ben said, stretching his back. The groups ....or at least what was left of the ones that were'nt taken, along with all the townspeople from near and far to hear the speech in which the heros were representing. No one had seen the disappearances, unless they had been captured themself. The crowds roared and the villans booed. Everyone seemed to be there. It made most of them afraid....... some heros wondered if it was afe to leave the towns unattended, making it easier for fusions to enter the them unscathed. Mandark assured them it would be perfectly safe.....of course this is Mandark so that really does'nt help at all does it?

Blossom was still pondering what fusion Dexter had said. But she could tell.....she could almost feel, that everyone was alright. As hero after hero came up, giving a report on his her town, then a large speech on what needed to be done to protect it, no one seemed to realize anything out of the ordinary. Mandark as he stepped up to the podium brought a new hero to the stage....Selena DeadlyBullet ( haha! it's funny cause that's my character's name)

" People of cartoonia i'm pleased to-"

"LOOK OUT!" Selena yelled, dodging a plasma blast. " Newspaper ninjas!" She cried grabbing a strudel cannon. " did she just say newspaper ninjas?" Blossom said, looking over at Bubbles. "Ack! It gave me a paper cut!" one of the urban rangers yelled. wailing out in pain. The Culdesac was in danger...........

it had to be a diversion.

"HIT THE DIRT!" Selena yelled, pushed Mandark to the ground. A set of newspaper throwing knives flew over their heads." SELENA! DON'T PUSH ME TO THE GROUND LIKE THAT! I AM MANDARK! NOT A....PUSHING BAG!" Mandark yelled getting up and shouting into the sky.
"CAN YOU TWO STOP IT! THERES NO TIME FOR THIS!" Ben yelled, turning into Ultimate Humungosaur. Blossom and Bubbles flew right over them, using there ultra-heat laser eyes to burn the evil fusions to charcoal.
One of the newspaper ninjas schreeched, burning the ears of everyone.
As this happened, the rest retreated. Some heros cheered in triumph! but many realized the truth.
Fuster had called a retreat due to triumph. Blossom looked at Ben and signaled to tell Mandark to yell to everyone else to move out. But it was Bubbles that yelled to him instead,"YO MANDARK! TELL THE TEAMS TO MOVE OUT!!!"
"I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE SCREAMING BUBBLES!" mandark yelled back. " WHAT DID YOU SAY!?!?"
"HE SAID HE DID'NT HEAR YOU!!"Blossom screeched, the monster having stopped in her mid-sentence.The groups stared up at Blossom for a moment, then started to move out on there own acting purely on instinct.
"BUT! BUT!? where are you ALL GOING?" Selena shouted grabbing Mandark before he could leave the stage."Well I don't know about them but I'm checking the area to see whats happened. Fusion Dexter has obviously called this retreat on purpose to make us think we have the upper-hand!" Mandark dictated, grabbing his cape back from Selena and begining once again to walk off stage. It was Ben though that intervened once he saw a tear come from Selena's eye.

" MANDARK! maybe selenas RIGHT!"

"WHAT!? are nuts? we don't have time to try and make a plan!"

"SO WHAT!? shes crying dude!" Ben said, his arms leading back toward Selena, who was just staring at the ground feeling let down. Mandark grumbled something un-understandable and then started trying to convince Ben to let him leave,but Ben would'nt buy it.
Finally after about five more minutes of fighting, grumbling, shouting, and a threat using ultimate Humungosaur and a very high cliff, Mandark finally just grumbled in defeat " UGH! FINE! EVERYBODY BACK TO THE STAGE!"
Selena looked up at Ben, and he smiled and gave her a thumbs up. Mandark groaned something that sounded like "stupid Ben tennyson thinks I actually am gonna list to that jerk, think hes tuffer then the all mighty MANDARK!"
Everyone else came back to the culdesac, some of them almost more miffed then mandark.

"UGH! why the heck are we havin to come back? I mean I agree we need a plan! but at this rate all our homes'll be destroyed!:" Numbah 5 said, Ben still looking over at Selena." BEN ARE YOU LISTENING!?"

"Of course Abagail! sheesh! look, I know this sounds weird, but I trust Selena has a good plan! I see alot of dexter in her!"

"and thats supposed to make us feel BETTER!?" Numbah 5 shouted, everyone that heard it nodding in agreement, some like Mandark giggling like it was a funny joke. Then one of the urban rangers from atop the rooftops shouted " LOOK OUT! THEY BROUGHT RE-ENFORCMENTS!!"
Blossom flew up to see what he meant, and then said in a scared tone " Thats one....GIANT MECHANICAL HORSE!"
"Mechanical Ho-WHOA!" Ben shouted, getting grabbed by a tenacled fusions tight grip.

"BEN!!!" Abagail screamed, Gwen immeadiatly shouting out " THERES NO WAY WE CAN STOP THAT MANY FUSIONS! RETREAT TEAM ZATA!"

Fusions by the thousands came bursting in, along with one giant mechanical looking horse. It looked like a strange version of the trojan war. AND THEY, were the trojans. Mandark then said, shocked and awe-struck "....she......you were...but how did she?!?"
Selena then shouted" HA! TAKE THAT ASTRONAMA-WHOA!"
Selena was grabbed and brought straight up to Fusion dexter, who immeadiatly said in a fake- cutsie little tone " AWWWWW what do we have hewe? its susy's WITTLE GIWLFWIEND!"

"GIRLFRIEND!?" half of the teams shouted,all of them and the fusions staring at Mandark. Mandark then immeadiartly intervened " IT WAS ONE DATE! I ALMOST GOT BLOWN UP BECAUSE OF HER! AND SHE IS NOT MY GIRLFRIEND!"

"oh sure..... thats what you said about Buttercup!" Fusion Dexter exclaimed, cackling madly while still using his fake girly voice.

"GRRRRR LET ME GO YOU STUPID IDIOT!" Selena shouted, trying to throw a punch at Fuster's head. Fusion dexter just laughed harder. Ben finally called out " ummm hello! still being crushed by a giant tentacle over here!
"Oh, right...you. take him away"Fuster said, shoing away the fusion that had Ben in its grasps. Blossom then shouted out " WHERE'S DEXTER YOU FILTHY GELATIN DESSERT!"

"YEA! WHERE IS EL-DORKO AND THE SOCK-HEAD!?!" Numbah5 yelled in agreement. The others began to pitch in.

"YA! WE WANT DORKSTER BACK YOU JELLO-JERK!"

"YA!!! GIVE EM BACK!"

Fuster began to get scared, remembering his painful re-form from a split pile of gelatin like goop. Finally once he could take the chanting no more he screeched " HE'S DEAD ALRIGHT! HE'S GONE AND THERES NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT! OK!?!?! YOUR PRECIOUS DEXTER:BOY GENIUS.......is dead..."

Fuster fell to his knees sobbing, and the crowds gasped. Blossom moved in closer to Fuster.

"Fuse jr I...........its...."

She put her hand on his back, and Fuster continued to look down at the ground below him. finally Blossom asked " are.....you sure....he's dead Fuster....??"

Fusion dexter looked down at the ground, and then. Smiled, evily.

" BLOSSOM WATCH OU-"

".....NO........BUT YOU'LL BE!" Fuster yelled, grabbing Blossom and cackling madly. "FUSIONS! ATTACK!"

Blossom screamed, the teams got in there fighting stances, and in the back of the crowd......near Selena, still wrapped in a tentacle and Mandark.....

"phssst, Mandark"

"AH! who!? what!? WHE-MPMH!" Mandark's mouth got covered on the last word by a purple gloved hand. Selena gasped and started"de-"

"Shhhhh! Fuster thinks fusion Double D killed me. the truth, I stopped him and the pesky ponies and got the real double D to fake say that Fusion Double D suceeded!" Dexter said, stepping just enough into the light to see the gleam off his glasses"

"mhph-nomph! I amph Mhpmmph moo mimimot!" mandark said, his mouth still covered by dexter's hand.
"OH shh it MANDARK!"Dexter said, not letting go.

"do you have a plan dexter!?"

".......I may not have a plan, but I have an idea Selena. Keep mandark busy while I save blossom and ben. goodness knows you two have so much in common!" Dexter said, pushing Mandark into the tentacle wrapped around selena and running into the crowd, Selena and Mandark saying in unison " WE DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING IN COMMON! YOU STUPID IDIOT!"

Mandark and Selena stared at eachother a minute, then both hmphed and turned away from eachother. glaring angrily at the other every few minutes.
Fuster was still cackling madly as Dexter swept through the crowd, dodging fusion attacks and other fighters as he ran. Blossom saw him and screamed "DEXTER! YOUR ALIVE!"

"HE'S WHAT!?!?" Fuster yelled angrily, turning immeadiatly to see dexter. The entire battle froze. Everyone stared at Dexter. Fuster yelled " WELL DON'T JUST SIT THERE YOU IDIOT FUSIONS ATTACK HIM! KILL HIM!"

The fusion holding Selena looked puzzled a moment, then looked at Selena, then at Dexter. It brought Selena up to it's face, and sniffed her. she winced and gagged at the fusions breath. It gave a whatever type of look at her, dropped Selena and turned toward Dexter. Selena screamed, and fell.

"SELENA!" Dexter cried, having to stop himself from running to her rescue. Selena screeched even louder, and Mandark just said out of no reason " I've got a bad feeling about this......OOF!"

He caught her.Fuster looked stunned, his jaw literally dropped at the sight of it." HOW THE HECK DID HE!? ....HOW DID HE KNOW THAT WOULD!?"

"Mandark can read minds, and probably do other cool stuff no one knows. plus that hes good at guessing. but, besides that. ATTACK!!!!" Dexter screamed, breaking into a run straight at Fusion Dexter. The other immeadiatly followed Dexter's lead, continuing to destroy the monster they were fighting before.
Mandark just stared at Selena a moment, then Selena said non-chalantly "....good catch"

"ya... well, don't mention it. EVER!" Mandark said, dropping Selena to the ground." Now, if you'll excuse me, ATTACK!!!"Mandark cried, pulling out a pair of nunchucks and running into the battle. selena blew the hair out of hair face and shook her head. meanwhile dexter pulled out his giant wrench weapon( hey, if can tell me the name of it, go ahead, till then, its the giant wrench weapon...thingy) and Blossom broke throught the tentacles of the monster holding her and judo kicked fuster in the jaw. " THAT'S MY GIRL BLOSSOM!"Dexter shouted. Numbah 5 looked at him weirdly a bit. "OH YOU KNOW WHAT I MEANT ABAGAIL!" Dexter said, dodging a shot of fusion matter and punching a nespaper ninja in the head.

The battle lasted four hours, finally ending with fuster calling retreat on his troops. He then exclaimed in the usual villanous tone " THIS IS'NT THE END OF IT DEXTER: BOY GENIUS! I WILL KILL YOU EVENTUALLY!!AND TAKE OVER YOUR PUNY LITTLE PLANET!"

Another newspaper ninja fell over tired, and Fusion Dexter ran for it as fast as he could before blossom could get another good blast at him. when they tried to chase after him dexter yelled " LEAVE HIM! he shall tell Fuse of their set back!"

"SO!? HOW'S THAT SUPPOSED TO HELP!?"Mandark exclaimed, still ready to fight, his nunchucks having broke two minutes after going into battle. Dexter explained " it will show fuse that he is underestimated us! and put fear into the eyes of our enemy. You have all done WELL MY FRIENDS!"

the teams cheered, blossom ran and hugged dexter tightly. dexter's eyes widened.
" OH! right....sorry....you still don't....."
Dexter stopped her" Its alright Blossom.....I remember.....mostly!" he exclaimed, blushing just a bit. Ben then cheered out " HEY! YOU TWO LOVE BIRDS! WE HAVE WORK TO DO! and same to you Selena and Mandark!"

"WE'RE NOT LOVE BIRDS!" they yelled in unison.Ben just shook his head. "SURE YOUR NOT! ugh, JUST COME ON!" Abagail said. Everyone cheered again, the speech quickly continuing from where they had been so rudely interupted.

Finally, once it ended, Dexter came up to the stage and said in glee "TODAY SHALL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED MY FRIENDS! AND SO! WITH THAT SAID, as much as i know you all wanna celebrate....we have much work to do! EVEN THOUGH I KNOW HOW BADLY MANDARK AND SELENA WANT TO CELEBRATE!"

"DEXTER!"

the teams laughed, and Blossom continued off from where Dexter stopped " OK! SERIOSULY PEOPLE! MOVE OUT TO YOUR POSTS!AND TEAM LEADERS REPORT TO DEXLABS IMMEADIATLY!...INCLUDING YOU MANDARK!" Blossom added, mandark trying to sneak out.Selena pulled him back and slapped him in the head, telling him off. Then Dexter said triumphantly " ALL TEAMS! MOVE OUT!"

and with that triumphant shout, the teams left one by one.and Dexter felt a courage he had never felt before.

But little did they know.....this was only the beginning
